A wardrobe woman apparently had to be rescued from her hotel room at 3.30am, when three players, yelling indecent propositions, tried to break down her door.
Six players had allegedly been driven around Wollongong in a hired bus one night while having sex with two prostitutes.

Detective Inspector David Long, from Christchurch police said, "I'm completely satisfied that we got full and truthful accounts at the time and that no crime was committed".[21 A colleague of the woman who made the allegation, Tania Boyd, said, "She was bragging about it to the staff and quite willing, openly saying how she had sex with several players. There was no trauma whatsoever. I'm disgusted that a woman can all of a sudden change her story from having a great time to then turning it into a terrible crime".[21 Seven years later in 2009, Johns, who insisted the act was consensual, was stood down indefinitely from his on-air commitments with the Nine Network and his coaching role with NRL club Melbourne Storm, following the publicity given to the incident during a Four Corners broadcast.[21

Three Bulldogs players (unnamed) were involved in a sex incident with a 24-year-old woman at the Plantation Hotel in Coffs Harbour, on 3 March, 2003. The woman claimed that one player raped her in a hotel room, while another player hid behind the curtain and masturbated during the ordeal. A third player set up the incident.[22 After a lengthy police investigation no-one was charged.
Chev Walker and Ryan Bailey of the Leeds Rhinos and Paul Owen of the Rochdale Hornets are jailed for fighting outside of the Creation Nightclub in Leeds City Centre. Another Rhinos player, Dwayne Barker, is sentenced to 150 hours community service for the incident that broke out after the Leeds players set on Owen after a misunderstanding, thinking he was attacking a woman. Walker was sentenced to 18 months in a Young Offenders Institute while Bailey received nine months detention in a Young Offenders Institute. Owen was jailed for 15 months for his part in the brawl.
