How much did the last shares offer raise? That was done at a time of relative success + there was no recession + people had more than 3.5 weeks to commit + amounts far blow £1K were accepted.

there are plenty of issues to consider. Maybe a SL club a couple of weeks away from administration is of little interest to you, fine. The proposed Supporters Trust may be of no significance to you, again fine. However the prospect of a club going into administration a few weeks before the new SL season may be worthy of discussion and speculation.

If the club needs £500K to get to the end of the season will anyone be willing to buy the club if it goes into administration? Which businessman/woman would put in half a million knowing the club would not get a licence? Who would put in half a million for a team likely to be in the championship in 2012 and being far cheaper once there?

If the administrators cannot find a buyer of that magnitude then what is their duty re current shareholders / creditors? These are serious issues that have an impact far beyond Trinity.

i must have missed the discussion of what happens if wakey go into administration. It appears people considering buying the club were 'put off' by no guarentee of SL status in 2012-14. This has not changed.

Who is it who will put in substantial funds knowing the club will be relegated for a minimum of 3 years? The apparent absence of this backing threatens the existence of Trin.

Crusaders have an excellent ground, wealthy backers, assets on which loans can be safely secured, they imporved on field last year and reached the play offs, their gates were up substantially. This thread is about wakey not crusaders.

If you want such a thread on crusaders, start one - that's the great thing about the forum.

Wakey had problems with their ground, a cva and were taken to court for not honouring player contracts long befoe franchising.

Its shocking that those assets don't even belong to the Crusaders. Moss and roberts, the saviours, laughable. They'll need bigger pockets for all the SKY money that finds its way into them, £150,000 for starters for rent on the ground, not sure they are much different in their management styles to a certain Mr Samuels

not purely, but partly (if the rumours re backer are true). Having just a 3 year license with someone guaranteed to go down means that you are a good chance of excluding private investment. Who is going to pump alot of their money in to a business with only a guaranteed 3 year commercial life?

Plenty of clubs are surviving so it is not entirely a problem but for the weaker clubs it may well be.
