There is a good chance I am going to miss the Leigh v Leeds match now due to lack of notice to book it off work. Absolutely fuming/gutted about it!! I'm sure there are a LOT of people from all 8 clubs in the same situation. The whole situation is a joke and it needs to be resolved TODAY ( or ideally yesterday

All the Wigan stuff aside, leaving less than 2 weeks between the draw and the Quarter Finals is pathetic planning.

We really are inept at some things as a sport.

Nonsense. The teams for each round of the play-offs often aren't known until five days before the match and we don't seem to have much trouble getting matches and venues organised.... unless you're Wigan Warriors.

If the venue isn't confirmed by close of business today, the RFL needs to intervene and insist that the fixture is reversed to Langtree Park and bring Wigan up on a misconduct charge.

Leigh v Leeds not on the telly and still TBC as for the venue for Wigan.

Guess sky dont want to show you. So you will lose out on tv money but you should now get more through the gate and sadly leigh doesnt own the rights so they cant sell on to Prem sports

Would take a big walk up to counteract the £10k or so TV money (£20k shared between the two clubs). Somewhat frustrating given the initial thinking that all 4 games would be screened, particularly as Sky have it in their scheduling, but I would suspect the wrangling over the dates of the games have prompted Sky to spit their dummy out to a certain extent.

Leigh will get smashed and no-one wants to see a spectacle like that on telly, sullying the good image of Rugby League.

No, instead we usually have woefully sub-standard crowds for what is supposed to be the highlight of the sport. And doesn't that look good on Sky.

I'm not defending Wigan in any of this, but working in professional sport, I understand how much preparation goes into things like this in getting hospitality/tickets/sponsorships sold and organised/marketed.

Give the clubs the choice, and I guarantee you none of them would opt for at best 12 days between the QF draw and the match - it's just daft.

Maybe SKY not showing the game is because the BBC will be there setting up theri cameras for the Wigan v Saints game?

Wigan playing at DW - But moaning that they told RFL to avoid a fixture clash on that weekend.

The 10k we would have got for the Leeds game being on sky would have made up for the 10k cut in TV revenue we got this year.

They are not opening the North stand at the DW because of a wedding which means the Saints fans are being split onto two sides of the field and they are charging us extra for the privilege. lol

I suppose if it had been either Hull or Huddersfield in the same situation, there would have been mass public outrage that the RFL had ignored their request.

And for anyone complaining about the North Stand closure, did you laugh at Leeds 2 years ago when the capacity was severely limited due to a cricket game that got cancelled on the day?

Completely and 100% correct there are the RFL.

Yes, Wigan have put forward dates that they cannot play, but the Challenge Cup is not the SL. If they get drawn at home, they can't expect the RFL, the opposing team AND the BBC to all jump for them. The BBC pay money to pick when the game fits their needs. It's not Wigan's choice when BBC put them on. Pretty disappointed at reading that Wigan statement to be honest. I thought better of Leneghan.

Had this been any other club, they'd have got the same treatment. Wigan cannot tell the BBC when to play their game.
