Catalans sneaking it against HKR despite some seriously dubious Child decisions in the 2nd half trying to give KR a fair old leg up.

Good entertainment for the neutrals but don't see either team worrying the top half of the table based on that.

Ryan hall is so likeable. Doesn’t have to use the same tired old cliches that all rugby players use.

As far as first choice missing players goes, we have Alex Gerrard, Ben Flower, Matty Wildie, James Bell, Tyrone McCarthy & Nathan Peats *still in Aus* from the forwards & Junior Sau & Brendon Elliot from the backs. If you were to say that Gerrard & Flower are not automatic choices that still leaves 6 important players out for Leigh !

I agree, with Ellis & a couple of better decisions we win.
I fear for us at 6 & 7 if Ellis is unavailable or out of form & only Wallace, Mellor & maybe Brierley are left. A top end SL or NRL half who stays fit would make a massive difference to this squad, I wouldn't fear relegation if we had a marquee half running the show !

Sorry but that Wigan pack is nowhere near good enough IMO. They're missing plenty of class in the backline but up front they lack serious punch.
No doubting Wigan's production line has been outstanding over the years but from what I've seen some of this generation of kids are massive overhyped.

Leigh played well just suffered from a couple of lapses of concentration where they were punished.

Leigh, Wakey and HKR the teams favoured to fight for relegation all showed really positive signs.

I would rather two points than positive signs though.

Don’t get the mentality of “should be proud”, 2 points is what we play for and if at the end of the year we’re bottom of the pile. We’ll have nothing to be proud about.

Leigh and Wakey played against 2 sides who had loads missing and both Wigan and Leeds were poor , both Leigh and Wakey had good leads and were pegged back . To be honest i mistakingly thought Wakey may go ok this year but watching that i fear for them , take Johnstone out and they have little left apart from 2 decent centres . As for Leigh too many journeymen

I'd disagree with the KR assessment. They piggy-backed off a load of cr@p decisions from Child in the 2nd half. Before that they were totally outplayed.

Fantastic to see the number of London Academy trained players in the Broncos cup squad.
Fantastic to see the number of French players in the Catalans side who have emerged through their reserves - which included the MoM.

10 of the 17 players today came through the London academy which is promising.
