| Quote ="JEAN CAPDOUZE"You are confusing the populations of precise legally defined districts of London, and the district of Everton, with their broader geographic fan bases. Chelsea and Tottenham are famous areas of London which attract supporters from broader highly populated areas of southern and northern London respectively. Moreover many of these clubs' fans are located outside London, even outside of the UK!
Leigh's primary and basic legal relationship is with the Borough of Wigan, not the city of Manchester. Do you really think that residents of Leigh consider themselves part of the Manchester metropolitan area? Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal etc. are a part of the London metropolitan area.
Leigh is a very insular small town and suburban enclave which is unlikely to have many fans located even in nearby areas of Wigan Borough such as Astley, Tyldesley, and Atherton, let alone the legally separate town of Bolton which is outside the Borough of Wigan.
Do you think that Leigh has a single international fan club? Manchester United has many as does Liverpool and several of the various London football clubs.'"
Tell us all John .....

I'll let you into a secret shall I, it will be a miracle if he ever finds a London borough of Arsenal.
I might be wrong here but doesn't 2 hours before mean 2 hours before or have you got a different theory
It's not his fault he has to live in Chorley, somebody has to, like it's not your fault you were conceived in Wakefield and like him refuse to recognise the fact.

As a born and bred Wiganer I can tell you that most Wiganers think that day can't come soon enough.
However it is what it is and Leigh (population 40,000) is a small part of the Wigan Borough (population 320,000).

Six (6) tries to four (4) is hardly a trouncing. Goal kicker Mark Kheirallah was off target in his kicking. Could have been 36-24 if he was on target. Plus Toulouse are still missing two key players. It should be a much different result when frivolous Featherstone meet terrific Toulouse in Toulouse.

So, Tragic Toulouse are so geared up for SL that they fall apart with 2 players missing?
I foresee a repeat of last season for Tepid Toulouse, the top 4 beyond their reach due to abysmal away form

6 tries to 4 does sound a little better than the actual result of...
Fantastic Featherstone 36-18 Terrible Toulouse.
Hope you are going to dig out a link for the game or highlights like you did last week.

| Fev scored twice as many points as TO. Missing goal-kicks is a part of the game, as is having key players missing. Both things happen to most teams every week.
From what I've seen of Fev (Fax have played them twice, including a friendly), they're a good 2nd half team. TO were narrowly winning today at half-time, and Fax were narrowly losing to Fev last week, but lost by 18 and 16 points respectively in the end.
I suspect a tough battle between TO, London and Fax for the 4th spot this season.

You seriously think that Featherstone will be in the top four? They have won at home against a weakened Toulouse side. But they won't do so well against Toronto and London at home, let alone in their away games against those two and Toulouse.
It is early season yet, but with the the return of play maker five eighth Jonathan Ford and the introduction of newly signed props Sam Rapira and Eddy Pettybourne Toulouse will be much stronger.
I predict Toronto, Leigh, Toulouse and London to be the top four, with Featherstone narrowly missing out at fifth and Halifax sixth.

Pettybourne played today, and was gash, one of the Toulouse pack that was utterly bossed by Featherstone's. I guess reading a match report on Frivolous Featherstone's website is too difficult for an ambassador of the French game such as yourself, or maybe the text is too blurred through the tears.

| Jean, how does it feel that Toulouse lost to a part time team from a village?
God, it must hurt.
On a serious note, any of the top 6 can beat anybody, let's celebrate the fact it's a great competition. Will Fev hit top 4? I wouldn't like to predict, but have beaten two contenders. If they can be consistent, then who knows.
It's a long season, with plenty of twists, turns, etc on the way.
Enjoy the ride.

I've noticed every time they lose, you always comment on key players missing. Possibly they should start investing in players that can cover those key roles. We are week 2 into the season and they don't have alternatives to accommodate. They are fulltime are they not?
