You think club coaches in Australia care more for the national side or the side they coach? Why do you think plenty of NZ / Islanders are playing in the NRL. If they are better than an Aussie they will get in.

Please note that I am not for one second bagging Cas in particular, every single SuperLeague club is as bad as each other.

Nothing will change unless the RFL tighten things up. The introduction of franchsing may put less pressure on coaches with no relegation, but they all want to go for the play-offs. If a coach doesn't get results on the field, he loses his job. So he has to choose the strongest line up he can. 17 young English players will get murdered against a team with 7 imports. So your not going to put a load of young kids out as you will lose and get hammered. It won't change until the RFL clamp down on the loopholes and make clubs reduce their overseas.

I do think we are seeing more yong players than ever before, but more can still be done.

It's great this Franchise system, you spend 3 years building a team that's 6 points off the top then because you don't know whether you're gonna' be in SL the following year you get left behind again.

He's played once in the last 6 or 7 weeks with us having options of:

Jordan T
Joe A
Owen

Who all are English, so you want us to have English players in our reserves as well as our starting 11? Laughable.

The only overseas players we have that I would call regulars this season are Widders and Chase. Wow a grand total of 2. Youngquest is a strange one to pick when Leeds are far more depandant on Buderas, Webb and Lauititi.

Its a season too early for one or two of our youngsters but have a look at the 9's results and remember the Cas teamsheet.
