The seating one was changed to 1,500 in 2005 to accommodate Wheldon roads return to SL

These requirements didn't apply to clubs already in SL , just to clubs applying to get in

In answer to your question about how teams get into the NFL, richie as best i can tell its a closed shop. 'new' teams seem to have only ever been formed by the merger of existing ones, it doesnt seem that truly 'new' teams have ever been admitted.

So you set ' criteria ' that clubs have to adhere to , then change them because ' some ' clubs don't

Have you ever thought the RFL have watched the news and realized there is a recession ?? and then maybe taken the decision that consolidation was needed rather than bankruptcy of the sport just to get new shiny stadias.

I genuinely believe the game needs time to settle again, time to focus on improving the overall product and the international game, not closing the door on areas that are doing ok just they don't have enough seats or cover.

Well what normally happens is the minimum standards goes up

In RL it appears they are going down

However shortly , when they all have nice new stadia , they will then go up , until some dodgy millionaire gets a call from Nige asking if they want a SL club in Dublin/Edinburgh/Birmingham , then strangely they will change back down to suit whatever stadium is available to said millionaire

as was said earlier, supporters go to watch what happens on the field and not to admire the plastic seats.

the simple fact is that no rl team can afford to build a quality stadium without outside help. even in the good times there is simply not enough money in our game.

Your relegation match against Cas could have seen either of you refused back into SL , in fact ( and this is me with my ' conspiracy theory ' hat on ) I believe that if it was Wakey that had gone down , you would already be in the Championship , IMO the RFL felt guilty over the W1g4n salary cap fiasco and changed the rules as recompense

im pretty sure no truly new teams have ever been added to the NFL. they have all been mergers and moves of existing teams/founder members.

There is a second tier in NFL?

Games fooked,dress it up as much as you like,switch on the tv all you see is empty grounds at international and domestic level and the best thing is super league are giving any season tickets at next to nothing and still can't fill the grounds

There seems to be a direct correllation between the quality of stadia and attendances, they go up when they are better. When it is crap they are smaller.

thats why Wakefield and Castleford have such fantastic attendances. I mean its not like they are surrounded by clubs in better stadiums with better attendances is it?

The Seahawks, The Bucs, the Jaguars and the Panthers were all added to the league as genuine expansion sides and not as the result of a merger or movement of an existing club.
