No, because you cannot possibly have most of not having something. There is a reason why you wanted to shoe-horn the word worthless in there, to try and infer i thought the championships were 'worthless' which is a huge jump from not as important as the amateur game, and not as important as the fully pro game to the game as whole.

Its a little like if someone asked you which was least important, your brain, your heart or your leg. Clearly your leg, but it doesnt make your leg worthless now does it.

well there is amateur and fully pro

Worthless and Worth Less mean two very different things.

Worth Less is analogous to least valuable, It tells you a relative value but not an absolute value.

Worthless means it possess no worth. It is an absolute, you cannot possible be the most worthless, you cannot possible possess the most of possessing nothing.

As i say, the only reason you used such poor wording as to describe something as the most worthless is to try infer i had described the championships as 'worthless' rather than 'not as important as the most important parts of our game', because one is a sensible point, the other very emotive and extreme.

None, they are the three parts to the game in this context. And the Championships arent as important to the game as the other two.

So that'd be a yes then.

it's not a question of one thing being worth more or less than anything else - EVERY part of the RL set-up is important in it's own right with every part dependant on each part
the game/business of RL is a 'whole' and every segment of the whole is joined to make it 'one' - god,i'm beginning to sound like Eric Cantona !

The fact that you haven't even mentioned the leagues below the Championship just shows how poor the attitude is to those leagues.

Not trying to be his Ventiloquists dummy , but surely the ' rest of the lower leagues ' covers that

Yes I think that is something that we all understood very early on , it was however supposed to bring wealth and health to the sport at all levels , like Internationally

i believe the CC leagues would survive without SLE,after all the CC clubs get very little from that league if anything at all.

with the current financial problems that a unknown number of SLE clubs have got at the moment,how many do you think would go bust or would need to step down to the semi pro leagues if SKY pulled the plug ?.

nothing what so ever smokey and this is why i say SLE should go its own way and then everyone knows were they stand including the RFL.

If Sky quit, SL would become semi-pro, rather than clubs step down. They could only step down if other clubs were ready to come up.

why should the clubs that are financially sound enough to remain professional become semi pro?

Ask anyone in the UK outside the M62 to name an English RL team and 90%+ will say one name........The period above was mostly pre-SKY so the only exposure the nation had to RL was the BBC.........and the BBC showed pretty much nothing but Wigan games.....Wigan winning the final (again)......that sort of 10 year dominance again would kill the sport.

SKY won't pull the plug........they want to control sports viewing across the globe and League gets more viewers in the UK than anything other than wendyball.........
