Couldn't knock the bloke tbh. When my daughter (Now 20) and her mates were 15 they used to get to the KC early in time to greet opposing players off the bus - that year Hull won the cup and played Bradford twice in quick succession. Hape was injured for one of the games (if not both). At the cup game only Fielden signed autographs and Hape talked. The next game Hape was last off the bus made a big thing of talking to the girls as if they were old friends; when he'd only seen them for the first time a fortnight or month earlier. It made their day that he'd gone out of his way to be so friendly.

| Most will not agree with me on this but bobbie goulding is a top class guy. He's a very good mate of mine and has been for the last 10yrs. He gets terrible press and does like the odd beer but he will do anything for you.
He's great with the kids and is a top bloke. Like anyone he has made mistakes but he is top lad.

| After Great Britain's 1990 Wembley win, I took a couple of mates to a boozer near a Hotel I'd stayed in four years earlier and who should be in there, but Graeme Lowe. The former Kiwi coach noticed our rugby shirts, bought the round and chatted to us about the previous days game - top bloke I thought!

+1
He was on the same flight back as me from the France-England game last year and was happy to talk about his team at Leigh, what he thought of the French team (and particularly Seb Martins with him being an ex-Leigh player) and even went out of his way when landing at Liverpool to wish us luck for our game at home to Gateshead later that day (sadly it didn't work as we were terrible and ended up getting tonked )

All seriousness he was a top bloke. Micky Forshaw was another good bloke as was Terry O'Connor.
Biggest t*ts I remember calling into my workplace(a sportswear firm) were Lee Briers and at the time Leigh coach Darren Abram(seemed a proper arrogant pillock tbh).

| After Quins' home games the players of both sides, as well as the referees, walk across the pitch and mingle with waiting fans. I have yet to witness anyone acting arrogantly and ignoring the fans.
Once when I was wearing my Bulls shirt (although Bulls weren't the visitors), a very proud Henry and Robbie Paul's mother introduced herself to me and was a lovely lady.

| Biggest idiot I've ever encountered in a rugby league context was David Solomona during the GB v NZ test at Knowsley Road about 4 years ago.
He'd just come off after a stint, and as he sat down on the bench, a couple of teenage girls a few steps away from the bench started whooping and hollering their support, while some bloke further back shouted 'tit' (or something to that effect).
Solomona immediately turned on the two teenage girls and screamed "come here and say that to my face then, you b******". They were petrified, as you might imagine!

| Most of the ones I've met here have been very nice. I was in a business meeting with ET some years ago, and he's a very quiet guy and was a bit embarrassed when I brought up having watched him play for Leeds.
I've met most of the Broncos at one forum or another and they seem like good guys for the most part. Oddly I've met far more Broncos players than I ever did Leeds players.
Its sad that the vast majority of players get their reputations tarnished by a minority of idiots, but that seems to always be the way when you look at any group of young men.

| Stanley Gene, Makaili Aizue, Geroge Fairburn, Justin Morgan, always have time to talk, stop for a pciture with the kids etc. Also Richard Gay and Steve Hampson.
Peter Sterling once had a go at me when I was about 10 for interupting him to ask for an autograph whilst he was in the middle of eating a hotdog, but I suppose I deserved it.

I'll bet he was embarrassed when you reminded him he played for Leeds.
Chris McKenna said exactly the same. Money talks though I guess.
Why is it 'odd' you claim to have met far more Broncos players than Leeds ones when you claim to live '10 mins walk from Suncorp'???
What players do you think it would be more likely you would meet?

| 1986 Aussie tourists at rooftop gardens/casanovas in Wakey. Had a few drinks with Greg Alexander, who introduced me to the rest of the squad who was present such as Wally Lewis, Brian Niebling, Les Davidson and Greg Dowling, who just growled.
Excellent night (at least I now know why Greg has the nickname "BRANDY" ) and great company except for the bad head the following morning
