i disagree, i certainly thought he offered more than Gleeson, Wellens, or Gardner,
not to mention how awful pryce was
Quote :v05jvjafIn your opinion he has been much better than shenton and atkins but you havent seen all the players as much as each other, i havent seen as much of senior and atkins as some but i can tell you he's (shenton) been in pretty good form, especially considering how little ball he got while sherwin was injured. If you look at the stats in most areas shenton and senior are pretty closely matched whilsts in a few areas they are much better than one another ie senior has more try assists but shenton has more tries, senior misses less tackles but makes more errors and concedes more penalties.'"

Edit-wild too he's been very impressive at 13 this year.'"
Flannery is Australian.
And who the fewk is Anderson? And Fulton? lol. The only player I wouldn't mind seeing over O'Loughlin is Wild. But that's it.

I know flannery is australian the post that started this just said 4 better lf's in sl, not neccersarily ones who would play for england. As for fulton and anderson, i'm suprised you didnt notice them playing at wembley the other day (anderson scored a try), or did you not watch the game?

So whyTF are you naming Australians when the OP said to name players you'd have over O'Loughlin. Nobody said anything about better LF's in SL.
Vinnie Anderson. I lol'd. He wasn't even playing LF in the CC Final.

| This is the best team I've seen on the thread.
Quote ="The Chair Maker"Ill be a bit different.
Fullback Cudjoe
Wings: Fox & Hall
Centres: Shenton & Atkins
Standoff: Mcguire
Scrum Half: Sam Tomkins
Props: Peacock & Graham
Hooker Moore
2nd Row: Ellis & O'Loughlin
Loose forward: Burgess
Subs: Roby, Morley,Carvell, Wild
Ive gone for Cudjoe as we need to have an attacking fullback. Briscoe just doesnt cut it in that department. Granted Cudjoe is inexperienced in this position but he does have heeps of pace and i cant think of anyone else with sufficient quality or gametime.
Wings speak for themselves. Two best in SL this year. Pace on one side power on the other.
Centres we need some pace in the backline. Gleesons form just hasnt been good enough and for me he is too slow at international level. SHenton and Atkins represent our only other viable choices.
Mcguire is in there because he was the only half who showed up against the Aussies and kiwis in the World cup.
Leon Pryce for me both downunder and this season has given every impression of being a flat track bully. Looks great when a team is well ontop, but when a side needs to dig deep he goes into his shell.
Tomkins offers more creativity than Burrows, and while he is inexperienced i cant think of anyone else to slot in there. Especially with fact Myler hasnt played for 3 months.
Peacock and Graham are the 2 best props in SL, they pick themselves
Moore has been form hooker this season and offers great organisation at dummy half and also a kicking game option
Ellis and OLoughlin are 2 tackling machines in the back row.
Burgess has the size and mobility to play like a modern day loose forward eg 3rd Prop.
Subs pick themselves. Roby for impact hooker. Morley for impact from bench along with Carvell his Wire colleague. Wild would be fourth sub as he can cover in backs if injuries occur while also giving us more mobility out wide later in the game.'"

Thats what i read it as, if you want i can clarify what i was saying so you can sleep at night these are the lfs i rate as better than him in sl. The point still remains (if you want it just to apply to english players, theres an easy way round your problem, ignore then none english ones)
As for anderson you know who he is now? thats good it makes you sound a little more credible. You lol'd well thats great, good for you. Doesnt change my opinion but i'm glad your happy. I know he didnt play loose forward in the cup final, whats your point? does that have anything to do with how good a loose forward he is (bearing in mind he was covering in the halfs).

| Get some big powerful threequarters in there like Fox, Hall, Yeaman and Senior and stick a ball player who can get some passes to them close in to the Aussie line, like Cooke. Pace in the half backs isn't everything, a brain can often be the match winner.

As its been said the back looks poor compared to Slater Hayne Inglis Hodges Folua Lockyer Thruston. But the Starting forwards look quality and will hold there own, although I worry when Morley and Peacock come off

1. Briscoe
2. Raynor
3. Gleeson
4. Shenton
5. Fox
6. Tomkins
7. Myler
8. Peacock
9. Higham
10. Morley
11. Ellis
12. Crabtree
13. S Burgess
14. Lynch
15. Graham
16. Wild
17. Roby
Ps anyone picking Wilkin or Pryce is insane

Rubbish.
Steven Wild is a decent player out of them but attacking wise he isn't a patch on O'loughlin.
The rest don't come close.

| The correct answer is:
Wellens
Fox
Gleeson
Senior
Hall
McGuire
Tomkins
Morley
Diskin
Peacock
Burgess
Ellis
Sinfield
Graham
Fa'asavalu
Roby
Wilkin
Pryce chokes at international level and I choke at including a Wiganer in the team. Gleeson, Senior and Burgess play better in a national jersey than for their clubs IMHO.

| Yes, I remember the 1982 invincibles - that's why beating the Aussies matters. Then that will be British dominance in RL, RU, cricket, football, tennis ...err.. what other real sports do the Aussies play?

| Morley is not even close to his best, and yet he is still the best you mob have to chose from by a long, long way.
It astounds me some of the players people on these threads select.
Burrow....really? Do you really need to see that again?
And Wellens, are you people f***ing stupid?
