No, im suggesting that championship clubs don't exist in a vacuum, and they marketing strategy would need to be altered because they have an SL club, as well as in most cases numerous other championship clubs on their doorstep



Yes, i am suggesting that a club only 12 miles away (for rochdale/swinton and Halifax/keighley, 20 for Leigh/Widnes) is in competition with you for fans. Im suggesting that it is condemning yourself to being a small parochial club when limiting your market to only a 6 mile radius and giving your competitors for fans outside this advice on how to take them from you.

Im suggesting that whilst Halifax and Keighley arent in competition with each other for fans in Halifax and Keighley, they are in competition with Halifax/Keighley and Bradford for fans in Bingley.

it tell us both Widnes and Wrexham and Sheffield and Doncaster are by some massive coincidence, both exactly 41.83km which is exactly 26miles away from each other.

It depends on the market, whether there are lots and lots of people in a small area or a very small amount of people in a large area.

in the less densely populated areas of RL (i.e East Yorkshire, Cumbria) you would be looking at about a 20miles radius, in the medium (i.e Wakefield district, lancashire(outside manchester)) and more densely populated areas (i.e Leeds, London) between 5 and 10, maybe a bit more.

I dont think those are the options , you however do , at the moment we are small parochial clubs , that does not mean we cannot be strong parochial clubs , you know , like good community clubs as you yourself have suggested in the past , or are we not to be considered worthy of that now ?

Ok , if you want to act thick , if you are siggesting that 26 miles , ie the distance between Doncaster and Sheffield is too close for two clubs to exist in , then surely you would also agree
that the RFL were wrong to move a club 26 miles from Widnes, especially as they are also only 30 miles from Warrington

if you wish, remember that is your description, not mine., it means you are limited in both what you can achieve and what you can contribute to the game, If a club is happy being small and parochial, and wants its contribution to be the small local area where it is exists, that is fine, however the game will leave them behind.
