The rules of each forum are pretty much dictated by the mods on that board. Linking to a well known file sharing site is allowed on some boards, not on others and harrigan and tb, who keep an eye on us here pretty much let us get on with what we do, so long as the attempts at bullying don't start again....as I said, it was patently obvious that I had changed what you typed, but if you are going to insist on the AUP being adhered to, then I will offer my sincerest apologies for any offence caused to either you or any other posters on here.

When was this? Please.....when was this? Dally messenger has alluded to this as well....when have I ever complained? I know for a fact that you, dally messenger, manly4ever and a few ex-posters have all mentioned the AUP in posts, in a vain attempt to get people in trouble, but not I.

......I have seen them come and go....I have watched as dally messenger goes all quiet until either a new friend comes along, or an old one re-joins and then he get's his balls back...for a while...and then the new friend gets bored (or banned

In Fact.....I have received warnings from mods as a direct result of someone squealing like a stuck pig when his "mates" got banned, but I haven't complained. In fact, I even got a b0ll0cking for not complaining and letting the board deteriorate......

Hold on Dally, you recently told us that you used to play Union yourself. Yet I don't base any opinion of you on that. That'd be shallow and insecure of me.

I guess it's a question of the continual drum banging. Every now and then drums becomes irritating. Some feel the need to continually tell us how great RL in Oz is doing, on telly, compared to other sports, which really is of little significance to poms.

Point is, we all know how good RL is. We don't need it rammed down our throats all the time. Some will like that, (no porn jokes please) some won't. It's human nature. I don't think people allegedly slating it mean that they like the sport less. It's one eyed people not being able to see both sides of an argument. I personally love league. I also love lots of other sports. I work on game days and captain's runs for an NRL club. But some of the stuff posted on here can be very misleading, over-biased and sometimes inaccurate. I feel on occasion, that for fair play, things should be highlighted, or corrected. Does that me like the sport less, or want to jack in my role at the weekends. The answer is simply NO.

to all the RL lovers on here please dont talk up the game, it makes others feel insecure

please dont express dislike of rival sports who lie, cheat and deserve our animosity its not the right way to do it

imagine coming on a RL site and finding people who have issues with people talking RL up

in australia this means a TV deal bigger than all other sports, more favourable media and other sports being honest about themselves

until we are the dominant sport in the pacific ie australia, nz, tonga, samoa, png, fiji and the cook islands we wont have realized our potential

and of course overtaking RU in NZ is part of this, at club level if not internationals ....

the new Gold Coast team got less than 100,000 viewers in the brisbane TV market for its much hyped debut

the Sydney Swans only got 60,000 watching their game in sydney

lol their ratings are shrinking

and todays AFR says they will struggle to get close to what the need for their next TV deal, especially with the suns and GWS needing 10 million pa of AFL funding to survive ...

Pacific, or Pacifika, whilst a potential goldmine for RL will never see RL as the dominant sport. Alas, other games, including Union (who invest more money, time, resource etc) and wendyball/soccer are bigger outside of Australia/PNG/New Zealand and in the last of these, NZ, Union is No1......
One of the main reasons for this? Because RL is shrinking as a sports option for young Australian males.........and your comp,.....sorry domestic comp, is becoming over reliant on pacifika players....

Rugby Union, like it or not, is the national sport of NZ. League, which most people here like...as well as union......because we aren't idiots like you.....is a great sport and the warriors are everyones (well a great majorities) NRL team of choice......but even if 1 person turned up to watch the chiefs v the hurricanes at the cake tin....RL would still be behind netball in attendances......the wendyallers in wellington have more fans for gods sake.

Yep, I understand that, hence my TGG comment. A bit of boring background for ya; The thing that brought me onto the boards was the almost constant negativity surrounding the sport. One week b4 Millenium Magic our own fans were writting the thing off! Jaysus!! Talk about self fullfilling prophecies.


+1 , the debate needs to happen, theres lots we can learn from other sports to make ours stronger. Trouble is tho, its hard to have that discussion through the personal attacks.

my main problem with gutterfax is his need to keep talking about me ....heck my girl friend doesnt give me as much attention as he does

theres a reason hes on ignore ...i just dont rate the guy and have little interest in talking with him

mentioning me in every post he makes just makes him look kinda desperate i guess
