You for dragging this thread up, and other fans for gloating at the misfortune of an RL club. I cannot understand the attitudes of some people who call themselves fans, to be honest it's disgraceful.

So you seem to think the ' Crusaders ' project been a success

Financed through the NL's by the RFL under the guise of ' Development ' , encouraged to break Visa regulations to be competitive , forced to move 150 miles to keep going , then having coaching staff paid for by the RFL again after employing virtually a full team of Australians , then financial problems and players not been paid and coaching staff suing for unfair dismisal

The were allowed into the UK.......they therefore, were not illegal immigrants.......it was their work permits that were at issue........but hey, never let a good headline get in the way of the facts.

Yep.....we actually have a new payment scheme in place....we get 100k for every cockney lad who comes through our academy and plays for the first team.........it's worth about 5 million to us in 2011.

In the spirit of fairness, the RFL have announced that the scheme is also available to all other SL teams who play lads in their first team who are local academy prospects......HKR have been told their cheque for £3.52 is in the post

They were before my time, but obviously I would have. The professional game would be a much better place if those clubs were still involved. I don't see what this has to do with anything.

Illegal immigrants are in the country Illegally....there's a clue in the use of the word Illigal before the word immigrant.
The banning orders/deportions were issued due to working illegally whilst in the UK........

No matter where you go in the world, you generally need 1. Permission to be there and 2. Permission to Work if you want to.

I came to NZ on a holiday visa......so was welcome as a tourist, but only that. I then applied for a work permit/visa......received this with the backing of my future employer and therefore, I am permitted to stay and work here for the length of that visa or until such time as my application for residency is decided upon. I was not able to start work for my employer until this visa was granted......If I had worked BEFORE my visa had been approved, I would have been deported, but not as an Illegal Immigrant, but for breach of visa conditions.

The same rules were apllied to the crusaders players........they jumped the gun, assumed everything was AOK when it wasn't and as such, were booted out for breach of their visa conditions.

Why do we have a governing body that is happy to make a mockery of a so called sport by constantly changing rules , encouraging clubs to break the laws of the land and basically make a pigs ear of most of the things they do

So if your future employer knew they were getting you the wrong Visa , that would make them either

Pretty stupid

Criminally liable

Or in my case, the New Zealand Government.

I believe that it is the responsibility of the employee to get the correct visa and the employer to ensure it is correct. The employer is liable to a fine if they do not check I have the right visa....I would be deported.

There are apparently a number of Harlequins RL fans who were responsible for double checking my visa as they don't want me back

I could bang on about what good the RFL does, how it has done much more than scrap P&R and bring in Club Call, but instead I'm more puzzled as to why you bother coming on these forums if all you want to do is moan. Why submerge your thoughts in such misery?

Considering it's their first season at Wrexham I would give them a 7/10.

Field performance:got to the playoffs so I would say that is pretty successful.

Attendances:not quite sure of the average but I think it's over 5,000+.

Finance:nobody is sure off the finances other than the club(and RFL) so we can't really speculate.

Producing players with Wales:Give them a bit of time and hopefully it will come to fruition and I am sure they have some sort of relationship with the South Wales Scorpions.

Open to a fine from the Government department involved.........so the holding company of the Cetic Crusaders 'could" have been fined, although I don't think they "have" to be fined.....but in either case, it had little to do with the RFL. The players were registered to play........they played. Thei registrations didn't become void......they are probably still on file...they just couldn't "work/play". No need for the RFL to get involved.
Crusaders '10 Were more successful than Celtic Cusaders '09.
On the field...better placed
Attendances...higher than Bridgened
Finances....although hard to prove, I would be very suprised if they lost more in 2010 than in Bridgend. All SL clubs lose money....just lucky ones like mine have no debts



I understand the feeling that they have "failed" may well crop up from time to time, but TBH, they should be given at least 10 years before that call is made. If they have enough cash to pay their players and can sort out the inland revenue issues then they will make strides towards a true Welsh SL team...which in turn will make for a stonger Wales RL team...all good for the game...just annoying for fans of teams who were overlooked for a licence.
