| Your an idiot gutterfax you really are and all this from the team that was founded by Australians Christ you used have 90% plus Aussies in your team. Hull kr is still having to learn the super league way of life so to speak you have had it handed on a plate I think we are doing really well considering I think quins to are doing well with player development but only because of all the help you have received from the rfl as well as super league

I have no doubt that HKR will adhere to the rules on overseas players in future.......and that they will try to field as local a team as possible. It's just that at the moment, you aren't doing it.
The fact that Saints are picking up players from outside the heartlands would point to some of the bigger clubs seeing the bigger picture and targeting good british talent for the future. Some other clubs are still seeing the too big a picture and attracting talent from father afield...like Queensland and NSW
'" So you ignored everything I posted then?
Enjoy your crusade even though its does seem to be missplaced.
And BTW smilies doesn't cover up the fact you were unable to disprove anything I said which pretty much discounted everything you posted in the post I quoted.
Pleas feel free to answer my points though.

| I thought he was still only on trial? Great news if he has signed, that'll be our third player contracted in an SL academy if he does. Plus another three on Championship scholarships.
Dan came to us in our first season, 2007, in the merit league. We didn't have a junior set up then, but because we were merit league rather than "proper league" we were allowed to play him. Dan was on Northampton RUs scholarship programme as a second row forward at the time, but with his pace (he was also a county level sprinter) it was pretty clear he should be a winger. Apart from a bit of time at fullback, that's where he's played for us. When we did form juniors in 2008, Dan remained in the open age side. Northampton RU commitments meant we didn't get that many games for us in 2008, but in 2009 he played almost the whole season. Dan scored the try that probably put us out of reach in the Grand Final that year.
As well as his flat out pace, he's got the asset key to modern wingers - being able to jump at kicks in attack and defence. He's 6'4" and a fairly solid lad, great pace and great leaping ability too.

Especially our friends in East Hull who are asking for a dispensation on overseas players due to the lack of local talent coming through....I mean, the thought of youngsters from Northampton or Bristol, learning the game with little support from the RFL as they don't have a team in SL near by would just amaze HKR fans who whine about their non existant development being purely down to not being in SL
Give it another 15 years.......the England/GB team will be full of lads from all over the place and not just along the M62 corridor..it's called progress
'"
Why do you think anyone would find it surprising that if people are given a chance to play RL (wherever they are from) they might display an aptitude for it?
Well done to the lad for getting a contract. Well done Saints for spotting him. I don't see how this has anything to do with HKR.

Will he make it in the 13 man code? What was he like when he was playing for Northampton?

Quote ="hullkrforever"and all this from the team that was founded by Australians Christ you used have 90% plus Aussies in your team. '"
Correct. When SL was formed, London had a 15 year history of ad hoc attempts of getting a pro RL side together....but SL wanted a London Team and as such, so as to develop the sport in the south easy, London RL were allowed to employ loads of overseas players. As a result, young lads who would have normallly played union were attracted to the game and now we have a pretty healthy conveyerbelt of local lads wanting to play League. What's HKR's excuse? Didn't you win loads of cups and leagues before SL? Are you saying that the 11 years you spent outside SL, not getting Murdochs 1.2 million were the reason you have no yoof schemes in place? 125 yrs+ of history and you get so touchy when someone brings up your over reliance on foreign players.....
Quote ="hullkrforever"Hull kr is still having to learn the super league way of life so to speak you have had it handed on a plate'" ....yep. London were fastracked.....as a direct result of a request from the very people who you now get 1.2 million from every year. You can't have it both ways.......either you want 1.2 million or you want an exclusive M62 sport...which is it?
Quote ="hullkrforever"I think we are doing really well considering'" what? Considering you are based in a RL hearland, a hot bed with a rich history of success and stars of the game, you think it's acceptable to have to field foreign players because you can't fingd 30 lads locally? er...OK.
Quote ="hullkrforever"I think quins to are doing well with player development'" ...yes, they are aren't they.
Quote ="hullkrforever"but only because of all the help you have received from the rfl as well as super league'"
Links to evidence of this help please. Along with links to the proof that we would never have been relegated, the millions we receive on a regular basis from the RFL, the pictures of Elvis working with Michael Jackson in B&Q in telford and the yeti having a cup of coffee in starbucks.
Same crap rolled out every time with no proof.
The Current SL licences were handed out with the intention of starting to grow the game as a national sport, played in decent stadiums, with good crowds, less overseas players and more local lads representing their local teams. We fall down on crowds at Quins.....Hull Kingston Australia fall down everywhere else.
I didn't start this little spat BTW.......we had a slight infestation on the Quins board and I just responding to the utter boll0x (not even new utter boll0x) that was spouted by fans of HKA there......
I repeat, I actually think HKR do bring something to SL, but I will defend my club from un-quantifiable (sic) attacks regarding bail outs, help, assistance, back handers et al......as well as explaining the rather obvious diferences between starting a team from scratch in a new area with no heritage and letting a club with a so called proud heritage of the game, in a RL hot bed, break the rules in pursuit of a quick fix.

Alas, Quins have an achilles heel in the marketing department.....something they fail to acknowledge and what I believe will be the reason that they may well lose their licence in SL. Maybe not this time around, but crowds of 3k will not sustain a SL club. Even the guy at Hull Kingston Australia say he nees 10k averages to be able to afford willie Mason, billy slater, greg inglis and the hayne train for the 2013 season

Debts of 3 million, wow, it would take Quins about 1 and a half, maybe 2 years to rack up that sort of amount.
Good job KR have a board of directors willing to fund the club. Quins on the other hand...
