I've watched a couple of games of GAA footy... seems quite good actually. I could probably get into it if I watched it more.

Wouldnt be my first choice of sport though.

Ive signed up. Its another £7 on top of all the other subsciption fees but watching the NRL is my fav sport to watch alongside ashes cricket.

I agree though Baz, cant see them making much money out of UK based NRL viewers.

Positive is weve got 4/5 live games for the NRL fans like myself.

Negative is the best rugby league is not accessible to the general sports fan. If the games were on itv4 or sky with millions of potential viewers you may get a few more people interested in the sport.

That will all change by next January

How much does it cost to watch Super League on Sky, especially if you have very little interest in Football ?

Bear in mind you are tied into an initial annual subscription to Sky, Premier Sports is a two month minimum contract.

How much money do you think Premier Sports have made in the last few months from the 'adverts' ?

I bet sales of Gaymers Cider have rocketed.

Thats all I have seen them advertise.

That advert really gets up my goat actually and I wouldnt buy their cider out of principle

I couldn’t find the will to get up in the morning for the 2nd and 3rd state of origin games so no I won’t be paying extra board to watch something that I get as good on sky sports in super league at a more convenient time.

Me and mornings just don’t agree at the moment.

Have you not seen your bowling attack recently baz. Pakistan managed to score 250+ the other week against some of your buffet bowlers.

I know the Aussies are slumping at the moment but they are not that bad.



As for Premier. I pay enough for SS and I really can't justify further outlay. I don't watch Irish sport and have no intention of starting. I would rather watch the Baseball on ESPN but ain't subscribing to that either. I may review at the start of next season, by which time Premier may well have gone the same way as Satanta.

I quit a job because Leeds were back at Old Trafford in 2008 and I couldn't catch it live on the remote Italian coastline. Probably the worse decision in my whole life. I’m now forever stuck in an oblivion of doom and shall be a loss cause for the rest of my life thanks to that decision.

not paying anymore on top of what we have, got a letter today saying our sky will be going upto £70 a month! so its bye bye movie channel, HD and sky sports once the season is over, until the start of the new season in feb when we will re-subscribe for sports only

I can't justify paying an extra £7 a month for the NRL to the wife when she thinks that it is bad enough that I will watch English RL games that don't feature Hull KR, let alone games from the other side of the world.

I might as well be with the amount of time I spend in the place.

Can't work out if its the filthy toilets, the sticky dance floor or the front end of an old Holden EK someone has nailed to the wall that draws me back time and time again like a big fat moth (wearing a genuine 1997 Nike Superleague Sharks jumper match worn by Andrew Ettingshausen) to a flame.

If it was on ITV4, the picture quality would be abysmal and they would cut off to an advert break just as someone was about too score. Don't ITV now have about 15 to 20 mins of adverts every hour, after every try there would be a break.

Given that you can watch the highlights every week on Sky for free on NRL Fulltime I aint going to spend another £7 a month.

You ought to see Aussie telly if you think the adverts here are bad.

Bad move but at least its not contract (well for now), so you can just watch the min 2 months and that will take you to the end of the NRL season. Not happy having to pay now, but there is no way im going to miss the rest of the season.

I think so ... In fact isn't there something in League Express this week that says that whilst Premier Sports have the rights to the regular season rounds of the NRL, they don't actually have rights to the LIVE Grand Final and are desperately trying to negotiate a delayed telecast deal ?

They only have the same amount of ad's as everyone else.
