I actually said "18 weeks" is what I'd give Harris. This was based on the previous coaches under the Good Doctor.

Veivers lasted 50 games in charge......Noble lasted 24 games at the helm......if he's a creature of habit, then Harris's chances of seeing out the season are small and his chances of being there at the start of 2015 are negligible.

Because I don't want to bet, makes little difference to the evidence above........Mar has the attention span of a 3 yr old and the patience of that three year olds brother who is 2yrs old.

Alas lads.....your little crusade to "out me" as a troll has as much chance of success as Harris will have with the squad of past-it names and wage stealers will have of troubling anyone this year with regard to a home play-off game....and as positive as I am that Salford will not make the top 6, I will still not "wager" as much, as I have more adult things to spend my hard earned on!

Doesn't matter how much you dress-up your reasoning, I don't see why you wouldn't take on a bet for charity. You have the chance to contribute to a good cause and Lord it up over everyone else if you win. Surely someone of your sizable ego couldn't resist? Of course, there's the flip side. If you don't take the bet on then EB has already won. You don't believe your own statement. I'd say that you would lose some credibility but you need to have some in the first place to lose.

Whilst were on the topic of funds for the game and betting. I won the NRL opening round attendance bet back on 2010 when the NRL boards were populated here...the other betters contributed to the game! Oh....that bike ride I did between Leeds and London...it raised quite a substantial level of funds. Other than the cash I raised, there was a signed ball from Chelsea and a signed shirt from England cricket when the former won the league for the first time in yonks and the cricket team went an entire summer unbeaten as well as loads of other stuff that was auctioned.....can you guess the year and/or the player I helped raise funds for?

If you were so certain about your own views you'd jump at the chance to be proven right. Listing your supposed charity work as some kind of sideways shuffle around the subject doesn't make you look any better. It's not if someone disagrees with you, it's that in this case they made a fair offer to see whose outcome would happen first. You'd get a little more respect by just being honest and backtracking your statement or taking the bet.
