| What a weekend for Thurston. 2 tries for the Aussies and then a hat-trick against the Dragons today. Always seem to have a bad first half the Cowboys and then come good in the second, if they can sort it out they'll be a top 4 team IMO.
The Dragons did well to only lose by 4 with 5-6 players backing up from rep duty but they'll bounce back next week. What happened to Creagh did Bennett rest him?

Crowd mayhem as ref denies Dogs. ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA 20 BULLDOGS 18
A DECADE ago Steve Clark left Kogarah through a shower of spit and abuse after a dramatic Dragons-Bulldogs clash.
The same two teams returned to the scene last night - and this time Clarke was hailed a hometown hero.
The video referee made one of the most controversial calls in years, denying the Bulldogs a last-minute match-winner that left visiting coach Kevin Moore feeling gutted.
Trailing 20-18 with 39 seconds left, Luke Patten busted the Dragons line and sent Jamal Idris away for his second touchdown. The movement was so crisp that even the scoreboard attendant put the Bulldogs ahead.
But Clark was to have the final say, agreeing with complaints from Dragons pivot Jamie Soward. The talented five-eighth argued that he was prevented from tackling Patten by Bulldogs utility Greg Eastwood.
Greg Eastwood didn't try to obstruct Jamie Soward - what's he supposed to do, dig a hole?" Moore fumed.

They look unbeatable at the minute dont they, Soward has been awesome all year and his kicking game is second to none, deserves a shot at Origin but the Dragons are better off if he doesn't get picked. No doubt the selectors will say he's too small for Origin anyway but i think he'll get a chance next year after the Dragons reach the Grand Final this year.
Dragons-Dogs or Dragons-Storm GF IMO, hope it's the Dogs.

NRL clubs have been left counting the cost of Origin II with St George Illawarra prop Michael Weyman the latest to fall victim, ruled out for up to six weeks with an ankle injury.
Weyman joins Queensland counterparts Petero Civoniceva (toe, seven weeks) and Ben Hannant (knee, six weeks) in watching Origin III from the sidelines after being diagnosed with a grade one ankle strain.
The burly prop initially damaged the joint in Origin II, but managed to play out the match and the first 18 minutes of the Dragons' win over Wests Tigers on Friday night before rolling his ankle again.
"To finally get there (to Origin) and to have it taken away through injury ... is very disappointing, but you know that's footy and we'll just wait and see what happens now," Weyman said.
"I'm enjoying my footy at the moment and (injury) is just one of those things.
"That's the risk you take when you go on the footy field, injuries are a part of the game and there's not much that you can do about it, you've just got to get on with it."
Weyman has been replaced by Jon Green in the run-on side for the Dragons' match-up with the Sydney Roosters on Friday night, rookie Trent Merrin the new face on the bench.
His injury left Blues selectors joining their Queensland rivals in a mad scramble to find a new front-rower.
NSW are also expected to be without game one starter Luke Bailey after he was not named to return for Gold Coast this week due to a broken arm.
