What is it with the walk between stations at Hammersmith?

I arrive in Hammersmith on the H&C line from Baker St and its a good 5 minutes walk out of the station, over a busy road and through a mini shopping mall just to get to the district line.

I don't own a jersey.

I do have a Queensland SOO t-shirt that I got a few years ago. Darren Lockyer wore it, and he signed the front for me.

I have shirts from the Roosters, Broncos, Sharks, Titans and a vintage North Sydney Bears one

I own several Canberra Raiders jerseys from different seasons, but I do go to Australia for 4 weeks every season, and buy membership so I'd call myself a proper supporter.

so just because you go to Oz for 1 month out of the entire season you call yourself a proper supporter? unless you watch them every week home and away, you can't call yourself a "proper" supporter at all.

Thats a bit harsh. If he does all he can to get to games, watch as many as he can at home and buys a membership I think he qualifies as a fan.....just because someone lives on the other side of the world doesnt mean they cant be a proper supporter.

Wow, what a faceless wonder you're! A supporter is someone who not only cheers for the side on the field, BUT also puts money into the club to SUPPORT them off field. The Raiders get a substancial ammount of money out of me.

But then I must bracket into the rest of the NRL supporters, because non of them follow every game home, and away.

So any people who call themselves Melbourne fans who don't come to the WCC aren't actually proper fans ?

And the point of all this is?

Not quite sure if it's to allow the whinging Aussies to moan at something else?

I have 2007 NSW state of origin shirt(ccc), apart from the sponsors logo's starting to look abit tired its a proper rugby shirt,& very comfortable to wear



I aren't a big fan of the all polyester replicas nowadays, not as comfortable to wear and getting as flimsy as football (soocer) shirts.

I think the reason most here buy australian shirts is their love of rugby league,the fact its the best league in the world, and the sides there know that tradition is important and hardly change their designs in years...not that they want to be australian.

My favourite club shirts there are St George & Sydney Roosters for the same reason...traditional designs

I own a Crushers T-shirt from 1995.

We just like our sport, and those of us who support teams in the NRL and State of Origin do so because we realise, sometime begrudgingly, that it is the pinnacle of the sport we love. As previously stated I own a NZ Warriors and NSW top (got the the NSW 2008 one last november in the Canterbury shop in Sydney for $40 which great as I knew I'd go to a SOO game in 2009), on top of an England and Bradford top. So does that mean I want to be Kiwi, Aussie and English?

I just admire the teams, the players, past and present and like to show my support when I attend games if I have a preference. I grew up watching as much NRL and SOO as possible and grew attachments to certain teams and players, much in the same way people from all over the world support English Premier League football teams, I doubt they all want to live in England (Which considering our border control wouldnt be a problem if they wanted to) otherwise we would have a population not far behind China's I would guess!

1987 Retro Manly Jersey because we (Wigan) beat them in the world club challenge and its a nice jersey.

2001 Parramatta jersey - They were good at the time

2006- Souths - It was cheap

2007- St George jersey - My mate brought it back from Aus

I don't particularly support any NRL team I like watching good teams like for 2010 I look forwards to watching Souths to see how Sam Burgess gets on.

I own a Bulldogs shirt from around 6 years ago and the Souths shirt from when they re-entered the NRL, which my wife says is the most disgusting shirt she has ever seen.

Quite a feat when you consider you probably have a Hull KR one
