Hopefully all of group B games will be held in France, but with them saying the tournament is to be held in England and Wales that looks doubtful.

no,the FFR plus the scottish rl are actively seeking games on home territory - any games in france would be a bonus and produce much bigger crowds than if held in england or wales

There is enough fans in Leeds to get a huge crowd there so that is not a problem. Englands semi-final would be quality played infront of a full house at Elland Road.

Could they not just skip the group stages and knock out stages and have the final between Australia and New Zealand at Wembley. Stage it as a double header with a Saracens game and publicise it as the sell out it it would be. Same outcome, less financial risk.

Is there a point to you being on these boards? Because quite frankly you're one of the most repetitively boring people on here. Why don't you watch a different sport instead?

If that's how sport should work by you, wy don't Man Utd and Chelsea just play one game to see who's best? What a boring, negative view you have.
I can't wait for the RLWC myself, i'm going to do the same as I did in '95 and go to as many games as I can. Reason being, I love the game and enjoy myself watching it. Isn't that the reason people go to games Saddened? I support Leigh, we're never going to win Super League, but I enjoy going to games, so i'll keep going.

| So what actually is the format then for the knockout stages? I mean, I know what the groups are, and who qualifies to go through to the quarters, but who plays who? That wasn't on the press release. Have they not decided or did they just forget to put that part in?
Basically who does 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Group A play in the quarters? Is it 1st in Group A vs 1st in Group C/D? Or do they play 3rd in Group B, with 2nd playing 1st in Group C/D?

You'd have thought that if they'd decided what groups there were gonna be, how many would progress from each group, and even who was actually in each group (and who would play who in the cross-group games) then you'd have thought they would have decided who would play who in the quarter finals! It's the only thing they haven't announced about the format!

FOUR NATIONS: KC to host 2011 tie between England and Kiwis
OFFICIALS at the KC Stadium have confirmed it will host a Four Nations clash between England and New Zealand next year.
It will end four years without an international rugby league fixture in Hull.
The news comes just days after it was confirmed Hull will bid as a city to host World Cup 2013 games at both the KC and Craven Park.
And Mark Mcguire, chief executive of the Stadium Management Company (SMC) at the KC, says the city is ideally placed to host big internationals.
"Having international rugby league back at the KC is long overdue," Mcguire told the Mail.'"

Leaving England V Australia on this side of the Pennines, probably the DW Stadium. Ideally I wouldn't mind seeing Wales play England in Wrexham.

All Wales games should be in Wales IMO. They could get a pretty big crowd for a NZ or Aus game. They got 18,000 10 years ago when Wales didn't even have a super league team.

Last years 4 Nations FINAL was played at Elland Rd. Australia v England. It didn't sell out ,what makes you think a semi final would.
I went to the games at Wigan,Huddersfield and the Final and attendances were about 20k for Hudds and Wigan and 30k for the final.
As for the Wigan game the weather was pretty bad,and traffic murder, had to walk last 2 miles to the ground due to gridlocked traffic and missed first 20 mins.Weather has to be factored in ,if its played Oct Nov its going to be cold,I attend international fixtures but would have no interest in freezing my nuts off watching USA v Lebanon. I would just turn up later for the main game, which I suspect a lot of other people would ,which in turn would negate the attraction of the Double header fixture.
Looking at the venues the RL booked for the 4 nations and the relative attendances that they achieved I would say they got it right.Anyone who wanted a ticket got one,and the Stadiums didn't have tens of thousands of empty seats on view for the televised games.Something I suspect would happen if Wembley or another 60K plus stadium were booked.

| The Wales-England game quite simply has to be at the Racecourse. Guaranteed sell-out when you consider the Kop won't be in use, though maybe being a three-sided ground is why the RFL may wish to avoid it?

| I think we should keep the Wales Vs England game in England and play it at DW, closest big stadia to wales. Parc y Scarlets or the Racecourse would be a good place for the Wales vs AUS game both have a good capacity and looking at wales past record in big competitions they turn out!

The top tier was not opened for the 4 nations final and I think a semi-final against Aus or NZ in the world cup could attract more than the 4 nations.
The pricing for the other games was all wrong, £40 seat along the side for what would normally cost me £14 at a Wigan game, people just won't pay it. Thats why large gaps appeared along the sides against Aus and NZ.
Pricing is simple, £10 behind the goals, £15 in the middle block..... £20 down the sides, £25 in the middle block.
