Okay, I'm starting to notice a pattern here:
www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyl ... rdice.html
The second Salford player in as many days to step down from England, the same day koukash goes on a tirade against McNamara ... Did he sleep with his wife?

Yes. I've looked through the thread twice and I'm struggling to find anyone saying that Noble is the best we can replace McNamara with. I'd be grateful if you could point out what I'm clearly missing.

If you want a head coach who couldn't get Bradford into the play-offs,despite the quality of playing personnel at his disposal, against a head coach who took Bradford to 3 Grand Finals, then great.
When Brain Noble was coaching the national side things were so bad off the field that Phil Clarke, the team manager, resigned.
Still your judgement on coaches is duly noted.Well done on your loyalty.

No not LondoN, have another go. Try a club chairman who seems to have a bigger say than the others. Try a city beginning with L and ending ing S where the RFL are based. And no it wasn't on the internet, it was what Koukash said at the media day, reported by fans who went.

I wasn't the one slagging the game & national coach off though so no need for me to suggest replacements.
I had nothing against Dr Kouksh and i'm sure he's a nice guy when he's not spitting his dummy out because he can't get his own way. Same with Mr Noble, he's great when commentating and will do a decent job for Salford no doubt but he's not national coach material.
Better?

| I also read that IL of Wigan criticised the Sky deal in no uncertain terms.
It's an intersting one. I think the deal is probably sensible. BT are apparently doing well with this venture. If that's the case I can't see them throwing money at RL. I suppose the danger is BT completely blow Sky out of the water over time and RL is left in the lurch.

McNamara provided Sinfield with the England captaincy and a key role in the national team so that it now revolves around what Sinfield does and what Sinfield wants. For that reason alone, McNamara is cut plenty of slack these days by some Leeds fans.

That says that Brian is available, the full quote also mentions McDermott, Wane and Anderson as people who would do a "bloody good job". You are seeing things, or imagining things, if that is your "proof" of Koukash saying that Noble is the best person for the job.

Yes, and you were fairly roundly slapped down by people suggesting it's not a ridiculous statement, given that he seemed to do a better job than the incumbent. You then conjured up this comment about someone claiming Noble was the best candidate, which is what I took you to task on, and you've since proved wasn't actually said. So when we're discussing who has no credibility I don't think you need to look too far.

| Clubs are whinging about a 30% increase and an individual increase in SL grant money that will see most of them move out of the red and into the black?
I must have missed the news where SL is filling grounds, has through the roof TV viewing figures, has successfully expanded into new markets, does not have the stench of clubs financially failing etc. surely if they are expecting more than 30% this must all be true?
At least the Salford tool voted no unlike IL who voted yes and still whinged.

You need to appreciate that a lot of Leeds fans do not like Noble and believe he is rubbish. There are lots of reasons they think that way but the main reasons are....
Noble has an excellent record of coaching teams to beat Leeds and it hurts.
Noble dropped Sinfield from the GB squad on several occasions.
Noble didn't even select Sinfield for the GB squad on several occasions.
Noble didn't ever make Sinfield skipper of GB.
Noble selected Harris BOOOOO! ahead of McGuire for the 2004 Tri Nations Final.
Noble never gave Leeds players a fair go for GB. No, really.
McNamara OTOH.....

Great, back to plaiting fog on RLFans.
Yeah OK then... So maybe you can provide a link to all the trophies he won as GB coach then since all those who apparently "slapped me down" couldn't.
If you really think BN would do a better job than SM you're as clueless about the game as Dr Allcash. Neither are good enough to help us win a trophy.
