Good average, but Penrith, parra and the roosters need to up their game IMO....

Didnt all lst weeks games show a (slight) rise on their 2011 equivalents...Iv been catching up with the news from Salford and Odsal so kinda hoping you'll understand if my maths is even worse than usual.

The rnd total was down 2,217 on lst yrs meh...but yea, looking from over here, the Heritage rnd didnt appear to have the same buzz around it. That ball was cool tho



Roosters have always struggled for big crowds havent they (since the 90's anyway)...and wouldnt their attendances be a matter for their fans and the BoD of the club and nobody else?

Parra have got their win, Jaryod Hayne is back (even if only on one knee) and Chris Sandow is starting to fit in...cant see em beating the Knights tho.

Dunno what to make of Penrith...over 4, 500 up on last yrs Att(rnd 3 i think)..maybe Gus's dollar dogs are working....and you say the NRL clubs dont do marketing

What about Green Machine, Storm and Gold Coast?

Round 6 averaging close to 20k..all good with maybe the exception of The Green Machine.

Makes you wonder about the people of Canberra, theres all else to do there.

Gold Coast seems to be a bit of a graveyard...AFL and NRL struggling to get decent gates and the wendyballers going bust......

NRL crowds on the GC have been good up till recently, They avg'd more than Manly last year despite getting the spoon and Manly winning the comp! The team needs to win some and the club needs to get some positive media around it and they will have no probs avg 17-20k.

Aye, I reckon youre right JB...I highlighted the GC att because theirs was the biggest drop of the three lowest Att compared with their 2011 equivalent.

Lots of positives from Rnd6....Paul Gallen and the Cronulla sharks effort in the lockout against St George...Sheldons bunnies finally looking the part in the record Att against the Bulldogs....wouldnt be Rugby League if we didnt look for the negatives first

I went for a look on the 'ley' bored the other night and roflmfao'd at a post wishing for the 70's again....cos 'ley' got 5k crowds against Wigan at th old Hilton Park.... Aye, n the other sleeping [deldwarf[/del, I mean giant, was in debt and beaten by an amateur side....My, how they've progressed.

A bloke on vt nailed it earlier this week when he posted that Rugby League has ppl who support their clubs, not the Sport...that needs to change 'else we'll all be playing union.

Bit disappointing at St George last night 15K, Brisbane ok at 30K.

Just had a quick look and the Sts-Knights down on lst yrs game by 1, 914, and the Broncs -Raiders game up by 8, 639.

Apart from the game in Darwin, the one Im looking out for is Storm-Bulldogs....how long will they remain unbeaten?

Typical poor Manly crowd 11k, Melbourne's ok 14k

Would "double headers" work in Sydney?
Eels, Penrith, roosters and Manly all stumble along on 12k or there abouts.....would you get 50k for 2 NRL games?

The Storms 14k is just about OK, but they are top of the table and on fire.....hopefully they will be able to harvest data from SoO I....

Some would say there a must, Matty Johns talks about it alot even saying there should be a gold coin donation just to pack the ground out.
