australia is a massive country each town and city being different from the other one but there has been many english expats who dont last that long and come flying straight back home. I had the chance to move to Brisbane last summer and didn't want too doesn't mean australia is a crap country just means my personal preferences suited back home then. Now i couldn't see myself leaving the UAE for awhile just loving the standard of living over here. as far as the accents go it all ways makes me laugh how the yanks and aussies have a go about us not speaking proper english or its hard to understand, maybe if we starting say mate more often we could be just like them

Where as i get bored with teams covering up for poor defence by simply slowing the play the ball down. Its not an arm wrestle its just a slow, tiresome and turgid game. If a team has good defence then the play-the-ball will be sufficiently slowed and the dummy half scoots sufficiently negated as a by product of good defence.

I've never watched a game of RL and thought "you know what this needs, more time when i cant see the ball, and more time with people just laid on the floor instead of running, passing, kicking or tackling".

Quick question did anyone else notice quite alot of trouble in the ground today? We sat behind the goals (west) I saw on a few occasions trouble been caused. One set some Australians who did not understand banter and they were really arrogant, towards the end of the game things were been thrown. Another set of people almost. Came to blows, not sure why as it was abut further way. Apart from that great day at wembley hope it's one of many to come. Plus sheens is a prat.

But then again, they also know that 'there' and 'their' are not synonyms (big word - look it up in a dictionary).

Australia has an appalling record on racism, so don't try to play that card. It makes you look sillier than ever. And just what have Australia's contributions to history and culture been - apart from Rolf Harris, Dame Edna, [iNeighbours[/i, the inability to win or lose at sport with anything approaching grace, dignity and class, and the racist, religious fundamentalist that is Mel Gibson?

So bad it's almost good.

One of the finest television comedies ever produced. It's right up there with Dad's Army, Hancock's Half Hour, Monty Python's Flying Circus and anything else England can offer. I can visualise Joan "The Freak" Ferguson pulling on her leather gloves right now!

At the pub where I used to be head barman we used to have "Prisoner" parties after closing time, where the staff would watch it together while drinking cans of VB. I especially enjoyed watching out for actors and actresses whose character had been written out of the series turning up a couple of years later playing a completely different character. There's clearly only a very limited number of thespians in Australia and they have to "recycle" them.

Didn't see any fights as such, but did see a lot of aussies acting like idiots after the game around the stadium. although had we won i'm sure there'd of been England fans acting exactly the same.

There where a few aussies sat near me who where imo being really rude and arrogant before the match had even started.. but its sport... its what happens. and it was fun for atleast a short while when we took the lead and kept them quiet!
