I think one thing they dont have enough of is over paid hacks from outside their development system who are just leeching money thanks to poor players recruitment by the clubs management.

On the basis he is not that good an RU player. I doubt he would be 'awesome' in SL either, we have planty of players already who do not fit into the 'awesome' category, so I doubt Mr Church will.

On Henson, i think his form has been unimpressive since 2006, he even lost his club shirt a couple of times.
The plus side is that, thanks to his multi-millionaire wife, money might not be a big thing and if he is dis-illusioned (sp) with his playing career, he might genuinely fancy a new challenge.

Obviously he'll struggle to make an impression, what with all the high qulaity british centres running round SL.

If they don't have to pay that much, I'd be tempted.

he would not play centre he would be too exposed defensively and would be targeted by every second row and loose forward in the game.

he would play full back , once he learnt positional play and would be joining the line in the attack. Would be the go to man for 5th tackle kicking.

I sometimes read this forum and wonder if some of the posters actually watch RL, they certainly dont understand it.

If the French RU lot don't want him, he may well end up at Celtic Crusaders. The WRU is on it's butt financially (alledgedly)

Don't know about his ability to change codes, but there have been a couple of drink related incidents that perhaps CC should think about before signing him.

well the sun will report that micheal jackson is dead so im assuming you wont believe that either. The sun is a turd paper but that doesnt automatically mean that everything they print is untrue. werent they first to report dwayne chambers trialling for castleford? who believed that then. the fact is that we dont know but we do know that he has caught quite a few crusaders games and seems to be a genuine fan of the sport. but then the players have always been more open minded and less childish then some hard core fans of both sports.

oh good grief. firstly what has the rfu got to do with it? i think you mean the wru. secondly try going to your boss demanding a wage rise or you'll go and wortk for macdonalds. see how far that goes. threatening france or the guiness premiership might be a tactic but going to league from a financial point of view would be a very bad one. henson is one of the few players whou i would suspect of genuinely not giving that much thought to earning a few grand more when he could off someone instead.
still overall i think this is a publicity stunt by someone, maybe with hensons permission, in order to garner publicity for rugby league in wales. i hope noone has got a problem with that.

The purposes for his capture was predominantly off field with merchandise sales etc expected to more then make up for the initial transfer fee and salary. Any decent performances on field were a bonus.

If this is genuine and not just the agent doing his job then I see the potential Henson capture in a similar vein all be it on a smaller scale. It would make the CC known in pretty much all of Wales and also entice curious unionites down to the Brewery Field who may like what they see.

. The difference between skilled workers and unskilled workers is significant in this respect. Skilled workers can ask for money because they are in demand. NRL player agents, for example, link their clients with ESL team to scare their current clubs.

I doubt Celtic would want him for his playing skills. Like you said it is a publicity stunt. Celtic would be better of saying they don't want him and he is not good enough. Now that would be a good publicity stunt for Welsh Rugby League.

you are of course right what you say. my main point is that demanding a higher wage by threatening to go and get paid a lot less somewhere else (for a lot more work lets face it) doesnt make much sense.
to be honest im more a fan of his playing skills then most people seem to be but if he did it the media in wales will go ballistic. its wall to wall with the combo of henson and church. oh well fun and games.
