| Some of the comments on here are bordering on the ridiculous IMO. I think some Cas fans are getting carried away. We're bound to have a bad run of injuries or some poor form at some point.
Huddersfield are an excellent side. I rate them better than Saints and Leeds this season. Third best team in comp behind Wigan and Wire.

wigan and warrington are odds on for top two, i like hudds but all their players that come in are like for like and dont make the team any better so they will always lack the cutting edge in the big games, saints will get better has will leeds has the season goes on,i dont think cas will drop away but losses will come when they play the better sides and hkr will pick up on dobsons return.

Leeds have beaten Bradford (just) Salford, FC and Wakey.....all teams they would be expected to beat
Wire, Saints and Quins beat them and whilst Quins might be a "freak" result, Leeds would have expected to be more competative against the other 2.....they have Wigan next, then away to HKA then Huddersfield...I believe Leeds will still be on 8 points in 3 weeks time and that they will struggle to make the 8 this year......

I do however think 2 points will seperate third from bottom and 8th, 4 points from third bottom and 6th, it's too close to call down there.

We also beat Hull FC.
We were very competitive against Saints, a result which could have gone either way,
Wire are a very good side, and Quins have surprised a few people but it was very poor performance.
All this with a injury list which has seen us lose Hardaker, Smith, Delany, Lueluai, Burgess, Bailey, BJB, A ban for Cross added on to the long term injuries for Peacock and Mcguire who are two players any side would miss.
Im not sure we have it in us to challenge this year, but if we dont finish top 5, i would be very surprised.

'" It wasnt down to how poor we were, Quins have surprised a few people, im not one of them. I didnt expect them to beat ourselves but they are a solid outfit who will win games and have given themselves a very good shot at the 8. I do however think we failed to perform in that particular game. Quins were good value for their win.
Quote Injuries are part of the season.....it's how you cope that will count come round 27'" It is indeed, and in most years it evens itself out. We are struggling right now in certain areas but we have quality to come back. I dont think there is another side in the league missing two players as good as Mcguire and Peacock. Similarly that means there isnt a side in the league with as much quality to add as Mcguire and Peacock
Quote ..I repeat, I think you will struggle this year....maybe me saying you'd miss out on the 8 was a tad hasty, but there won't be much between 5th place and 8th IMO......'" The league will shake itself out as it always does. The top five will be Wigan, Wire, Saints, Hudds, and Leeds, in any order. Cas and Quins should be disappointed if they dont make the 8 from the start they have given themselves and Bradford, Salford the two Hull clubs and Catalans are certainly capable of making it in.
If we are still in touch by May/June then we can certainly challenge with Mcguire and Peacock coming back and a comparatively easy run-in.

Too tight to call between Wire and Wigan, both winning even with players to come back.
Giants have a really strong squad and injuries won't affect them, just lack that bit of world class talent to trouble the top two.
Leeds and Saints will come good come September both have match winners in their ranks just lack depth.
Cas have had an excellent start, but as pointed out only really played Huddersfield they have all their toughest fixtures ahead of them.
Rovers when they get Dobson back they easily make the 8
Reds, look at our opening fixtures, Leeds, Saints and Wigan we were expecting to lose, real marker playing crusaders after the Cardiff fiasco, will show whether we have turned a corner or back to square one
FC have enough to challenge the 8, think they will fall short, too inconsistent
Bulls far too leaky defensively, on their day can beat most but again lacking constancy
Quins started well but too inexperienced to maintain
Catalan will win a few more in the summer down in the south of France, no depth behind Bosc and dureau which behind a big pack you need direction
Crusaders have a good spine with sammut, Clinton (not even attempting to spell his surname) and witt, but not enough platform set for them 3
Wakfield lack experience, quality and depth they will shock a few but only down to their opposition play poorly (Catalan and hull are living proof)

| So most people are tipping us for bottom 4, eventhough we've already played at Leeds, Saints and Warrington. The only "big" team we have to travel to is Wigan, and we beat them last season....
Anyway, most of you predicted us to finish bottom this year, so I say keep the predictions coming!
