Who is giving tickets away? 4,000 tickets were bought by sponsors.

Cant agree with you there squire, imo Wigans big rise in crowds is because of the rugby they are now playing as against some of the rubbish dished out under Noble, and all the fans what voted with their feet are now coming back because of the rugby played, and iirc its exactly the same players for both coaches'. If you want further comfirmation look no farther than Hudds to see that their wealthy owner has thrown good money at it and where are their crowds?

| Our marketing team are the best in super league, the RFL should use them IMO!
We are looking at 2 sell-outs this year along with another very healthy crowd against Cas for the rugby festival, along with great crowds we have already got.
Next year should be even better if we finish well, some of our crowds at the start of the year were poor really.
Average should be around 15-16k.
With more success on the field next year I think it will be pushed up to 17k.

What you've unsurprisingly missed is the relative starting points of the two clubs. Huddersfield crowds have actually more than doubled in the last 6 years or so.
So your point is totally flawed. Especially taking into account crowds under Noble at Wigan compare favourably to those prior to his arrival.

Its good for the club that its attendances have doubled in the past few years given the money spent by your owner, they could not have got much worse than they were. Given the fact that you have one of the best grounds in SL, your team are playing out of their skin with a top Coach in charge, discount entrance fees cheap ST etc there is not much more your owner can do yet your supporters still fail to turn up, KR in the cup was a classic example they brought more than you did. And as for Wigan similar ground similar everything except the one most important of them all they support their team in numbers what is your excuse? btw I see you still havent learned to spell

| Why do you make up stuff to try and prove an imaginary point?
Discount entrance fees? £20 on the gate, £18 pre-booked.
Discount season tickets? I paid £175 for mine.
KR brought more than us? Nope, although they did bring a very healthy 2,700 it is less than half the crowd.
Average gate this season >8,300. I'd worry about your own crowds seeing as they along with Cas, Salford, Quins, Les Catalans and Crusaders are all behind that figure this season.
As for Wigans crowd, well, as I pointed out in my last post you should compare the recent histories and gate figures.
Do yourself a favour. Crawl back in your hole stick to topics you have half a clue about. I include spelling in that.

| So doubling attendences isnt doing much is it?
chissitt you're an idiot (yes, I think thats the correct spelling) who knows next to nothing and takes less than that into account.
No one in Huddersfield says our crowds are good, then again no one in Huddersfield says we have finished working on them growing yet either but we can still say that they are growing...and while they are playing well (though there are plenty about here still say they are a boring, spoiling team...) they still havent won anything, and nothing gets bums on seats like real, tangible success.
But Hudds are doing ok, in the scheme of things. Other clubs maybe have to ask why they arent getting full houses each week, or maybe should ask where their tens of thousands of fans have gone now.
Actually, well said Danril

You do of course realise that the word you've highlighted and are inferring to as an example of poor spelling is actually the correct spelling, don't you? No? Oh dear, [url=http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/unsurprisinglyunsurprisingly not![/url
You are just sniping at the club. You're transparent. We can all snipe, some of us though have much more to work with than others which goes some way to explaining why you have to make up your material.

| huddersfield were averaging under 4000 way back so their current crowds are quite good in comparison
it would be nice to see them breaking a 10,000 crowd average though with their ground i think they need 15,000 to get a really good atmosphere
im not fussed if clubs give away tickets to juniors or whatever, getting them in is the important thing

| looking down the track :
saints - new ground, will add 5000 to their gates, or at least be 15,000 or more
widnes in SL - will start off at 6000 / 7000 and go close to 10,000
salford - construction work starting at their ground so dont see why they cant at least double current crowds to 8000 then push higher
bradford - if they can move to valley parade and be accepted by fans can get back the 7000 or so lost fans
this will see the sl average well over 10,000

| I agree about Widnes.
Saints' current figures are distorted by two huge huge away followings because of 'the last derby at knowsley'. Wire took 6800 t'other week. Don't forget the new capacity is practically the same size and as found out at Warrington, the terraces might be full but in hard cash times (i dont know how bad the recession is in aus), the expensive seats arent filled. They MAY do but I'll be VERY suprised to see them average over 15k.
Salford wont hit 8k and i'll tell you why.
They'll be gone in place of Widnes.
I think we may have a 'rugby league popularity explosion' coming, I really do, but I think being a working class sport we need to see out this financial crisis first. We're middle class, traditionally well off and we're finding it hard paying for all the games. Give it a few years, 3+ and you might see a SL 10,000 average

| look the GFC is over
RL crowds last year taking out the 2 new clubs were unchanged
with construction underway at salford theyll be in SL.
its sad you dont think one of the most famous and succesful clubs in a brand new ground (st helens) cant average at least 15,000
im expecting it to be higher
RL is in very healthy shape, especially compared to say RU where clubs are losing millions of pounds each
wages are realistic, crowds are growing, TV ratings very healthy and the game expanding!

Dally at the moment Saints are averaging roughly between10,500 and11,000,so i think like you they could easily average 15,000.

Jesus Dally, I've suspected it in the past but now I know, you're doolally.
This office employs roughly 20 people.
6 of us are season ticket holders, go nearly every game, because we can afford it as an 'extra' if you will. A further 8 people are former season ticket holders who simply cannot afford to go anymore, when times are tight, 17 quid a week, transport, couple of pints etc is too much when people have families to support. 6 others are women or just dont care.
2 points from this scenario; a) this is a law office, we're not exactly the lowest of the pecking order b) this is just ONE office in warrington.
Imagine this accross everywhere.
The financial 'crisis' might be over in Australia I don't know, but lets face it, there's nothing of any note there. Probably no banks needed to be bailed out I mean, do you have any banks that even register on a world level?
One SL club will be departing us, I can't see past Salford if we tally up points accross the board, it definately won't be wakefield as you claimed as definate not so long ago.
I do also believe RL to be in a healthy state, as I said in my post above I think we're on for a boom, the RL word is spreading but it wont be this year, next or the one after that. Unemployment is ridiculous among educated people even and Families just haven't got the money. Simple as
