Yet again cherry picking the seasons, Superleague is 23 years old so where have Leeds been successful in the other 13 years. How the mighty have fallen when 2 middle 8's campaigns are regarded as an acceptable taken.

Saints have been by my estimate:

Superleague Champions on 6 occasions
Challenge Cup winners on 7 occasions
League Leader Shield Owners on 7 occasions
World Club Champions on 2 occasions.


Leeds have become insignificant these days and have sunk to lower depths, Saints have been bottlers but at least they have been competitive for all the 23 years of Superleague, but the great thing is that Saints win or lose have been entertaining to their fans for at least 20 of those 23 years for me thats is the greatest acceptable taken.

People from Liverpool (you know were Scousers actually come from) hammer us St Helens folk for being woolybacks. Whenever I'm in the city the locals call me a wool when I say where I'm from.

Also Wigan and Leigh are in Greater Manchester, does that suddenly make them Mancuians? No.

There were only 2 towns that had a migration of Liverpool Folk to give them a "Scouser Flavour" that was Runcorn and Skelmersdale. If St Helens had a Liverpool Postcode and a Liverpool Tel Dial Code then yes they can be badged up as Scousers.

As you mentioned we are always called wooly backs but that could be any lancashire bordered town bringing goods into Liverpool.

There away fans are very much in decline similar to their team.

The Rhinos didn't bring that many this season so we wouldn't lose too much money if they went down but it would be just pure comedy gold to see Leeds relegated.

Let’s see what kind of companies and offers you lot get for the main and other sponsorships without its biggest club and target audience for these potential sponsors. As “insignificant” as we are we’ve still been on tv the joint most along with Saints with 7 from 10 because we do bring the numbers other simply don’t.

We've been here before with Bradford Bulls, I,m sure they would like to see the derby again in the Championship that is. For whats its worth I think you will just escape bottom spot because I think the club will buy itself out of the demise.

Not really because Bradford wasn’t THE biggest city team like Leeds are.

I think we will avoid relegation but it’s because we’re only 2 points away with almost 2/3’rds of the season left with a lot of games at home to come - 11 home games to be precise - because of that early run of away games. People carrying on like we’re cut adrift by like 6/8 points with only several games to go. Hudds were bottom after 12 rounds last year and were 5th by the time the 8’s started. Now I don’t think we’ll be climbing that high but their’s loads of games and points left.

There you have it. Sponsors only care about Leeds and its dwindling fan base.
