Maybe most fans are just fed up with the sleaze, the scandals, the rorting and all the other unsavoury stuff that follows the NRL around like a bad smell and have decided to support other sports?

Most are moving to France to cash in. The only country that seems to have its act together with regards to rugby league is Australia. The other top two nations will lose their players to union, which is better organised and better funded.

This is not a comment on the quality of the sports but on the abilities of respective leagues.

The French Union are picking up a fair few AB's......Henry has gone on record to say that he wants all his players contact negotiations sorted before the tournament starts.....the form of a few current AB's would seem to be suffering as a result of this on-going saga.....
....I remember the days when to pull on your national shirt was the highest honour you could achieve in most sports...now it seems to be about how much money you can screw out of a club

The RUWC will be the sporting event of the year in those countries where union is played new zealand as hosts of course....england, south africa, ireland, france, scotland (maybe not) wales, argentina......and not forgetting australia who I think have an outside chance of winning it......but you reckon union will be demolished within 12 months.......cert-i-in-fiable dally....you really are

a number of S15 players have been linked to the nrl

the impact on the S15 of rising salaries in the NRL will mean that the best rugby players will gravitate to the sport with the highest wages

this isnt good for the S15

remember me when the RUWC is over and you start seeing players coming over again ... for the first time really since 1995

the failure of the S15 to get decent TV viewers is finally going to come home to roost

So lets get this right. you support a game which is only taken seriously in 1 country, where its not even the number sport in the most populas city or state?
Its origins are in England and and Ireland and is about Australian as pasta.
If the game is so good how come nobody gives a toss about it outside of Australia?
