Well done to Hudds. they have played some great stuff this year and the top spot is fully deserved.i am still a bit sceptical on wether they can sustain it throughout the play offs but do believe they have the right coach to keep feet firmly on the ground.PA has been there before as a player and knows what it takes to get the job done when the heat is on.

The first weekend is critical to their chances IMO,far more so than the other top four teams who have been round the business end long enough to be able to bounce back.hudds. have to instill the belief early that they can do it by beating wigan/leeds in that first game.if they can do that i see no reason they cant go on and win it.lose,and i feel it will be too much of a blow mentaly to recover.

Theres 3 trophies available to win, the LLS is probably the 2nd on the top club coaches list at the start of the year. Hudds have done it. Nobody else has, well done to them. They have put themselves in a great position to challenge for the big one, I think we will see a Leeds v Saints final, but Hudds have the best route, the most advantages and have momentum they have everything to play for.

Well played Huddersfield, for me the table doesn't lie and they have been the best team thus far - and if they get over their apparent mental block in the big games then they will take some stopping.

No-one is saying they are, they-re just congratulating them on a very consistent season. The first team to top the super league table who weren't included from its inception. Having done so with some great local talent whilst having to play catch-up on the development front. Its a great achievement.

And yes, what they have done is a fantastic achievement and I hope they kick on from here as SL needs as many quality teams as possible. I also hope they can kick on crowd wise as they have everything in place to be a top club on and off the field.

If huddersfield win the Grand final, i'd be the first on here to congratulate them. What a utopia moment in super league history that would be, ground breaking. Because despite the emergence of warrington (and now huddersfield) and the occasional flurry from hull we've still only had the 4 different clubs actually win the thing to be champions.

Despite what results the regular season throws up, when the main prize has been on the line the same clubs have come out on top.

But I don't see the point in a song and a dance for what is in the grand scheme of things a secondary achievment. None of the big players specifically aim to finish top, they aim to win the grand final. So if huddersfield can claim the big prize, the one all the top clubs aim for then it really will be something to shout about.

I love it when fans say ''just because your club doesn't win it''. I look inside me and know, when leeds won it for the first time in 2004 I didn't give a sh*t, as long as they won the grand final. I kept reiterating it meant nothing unless you become champions. Most wigan and wire fans will testify. I'd argue it's that type of mentality that has allowed leeds to win so many titles over the past decade.

TBH, the LLS means nothing unless you get to the GF and win. It's a nice little memento to say you finished the top of the league before the playoffs, but without that GF trophy your season form means nothing.

Congrats. But in reality, you are the same as everyone bar wigan and warrington.

Huddersfield winning the LLS is a massive achievement for them and congrats go to them on doing so. Wasn't that many years ago they were down there propping up the league, clearly they are a club that are heading in the right direction. For them, they now just need to get that 'big game mentality' monkey off their backs, which might take a season or two but if they continue going the way they are it could bag them a major trophy or two over the next decade.

As RL fans, all that most of us hope for is for their club to be competitive and are in the hunt for trophies at the end of the season, I believe they are doing just that.
