That wasn't a tackle, it was assault and could easily be something worth criminal charges.

clamped a player in the tackle and flung him as he fell backwards so that he somersaulted and landed on his neck.
outrageously dangerous.

I have enjoyed the coverage without commentary, pity they've fixed it.

I'm happy with Sio being sin binned but whoever kneed Smith in the head should've been sin binned too.

The knees in the ribs I assume the VR thought was accidental though I have my doubts.

Pomeroy was just ridiculous. I doubt he meant to do that but that's not really much, if any, excuse. It's incredibly dangerous and was rightly sent off. Hopefully a long ban too.

In a way I'm ok with Sio being sin binned for a crusher tackle....issue is that several of those tackles happen every game and go unpunished during the game.

The Leigh player who kneed Lee Smith should've been given 10 minutes. Also Lee Smith was lucky not to get 10 minutes for his high shot when Leigh were attacking 10m out from Wakey's line.

We knock referees but to be fair to James Child (who I really don't rate as a referee) he did ok in the face of a very difficult game to be in charge of.

Because The video referee is wrong on every level and doesn't do the game any favours at all. It is one of RL's biggest mistakes. Everyone, except, the hard of joined up thinking, will accept that mistakes will happen on the field by everyone there. That's the game. perfection doesn't exist!!!!!!!!!

It's obvious why you don't understand the Video referee system failings. That's fine, you are not alone.
Let's just say that introduction of the video referee was wrong, it isn't a fair system and after that I will let everyone work out why. There is no hypocrisy but then you have to look at the bigger picture.

Yes to all that. The Leigh game was a fractious affair and several could have seen yellow. On the spectrum, though, not so different from plenty of SL games.

I've just seen the Pomeroy assault (it's on YouTube), and it really is a sickener. You can put someone in a wheelchair doing that. The ref didn't hesitate with his red card, and quite right too.

i don't think Mr. Pomeroy should be playing again this season, that was a shocking " tackle", well it wasn't a tackle was it?

Agreed. Not quite sure how that tackle could be worse. It's about the most dangerous thing I've seen on an RL pitch and was definitely worse than Rangi Chase's sh|thouse tackle on Ferres. Personally I think it should've been a ban around the same length as Flower's.

Not as long as Flower's in my opinion, but certainly should have bn longer than 6 matches.

8 games would have been about right.

With Catalans not going to make the playoffs then 2 of those 6 games will probably be served playing pre-season friendlies.
