As I have said i think the wakey bod should opt for C1 and focus on building a club for the long term rather than lurch from one crisis to the next. That said it is interesting just how many of the wakey fans who slag Ted off - Mopsey? - probably could not run a stall and car boot sale. Indeed if they had to run a club they would s*** themselves.

Mopsey do you have a well reasoned and thought out plan to put Trin back on its feet?

What qualifications does a poster have to posses to point out that an IVA / 2 winding up orders / stadium problems / constantly having 9/10 non fed trained players etc etc is very poor? Do you want to contest these facts?

Your criticising wakey fans for what has been said about Ted and the BOD who are responsible for running the club and saying we aren't qualified to do so, yet your comments are about how bad the club and Ted's own affairs are run.

Given wakey have dreadful finances how will they cope with the increased costs / lower revenues of hiring a ground of SL standard in 2012?

Perhaps one of your well informed friends can tell us how a club lurching from winding up order to winding up order - that cannot be bailed out by its chairman / owner - will manage this transition.

There are several things I have complimented trin on. I suspect you will ignore them. if you cannot stomach a thread on 'not looking good for wakey' this is probably not the place for you.

You use the word stadium problems in the plural, one of those is well documented in it does not fit the criteria laid down by the RFL, so what are the other problems? We have atm Morrison,Jeffries,Obst,Millard,Smith, and Tony on our books and a loan agreement with Hudds for the loan of Korkidas till the end of the 2011 season, I am not going to bail you out by telling you how many that is, "if it is too difficult for you then get a grown up to help you" but it is certainly not 9/10, which I am sure if you had done your homework you would know because it would be one or the other hth.

If you read my posts rather than jumped to conclusions you would see that I am not hoping that wakey are a goner. I am suggesting that they may secure a more stable, viable long term future if the drop to c1.

So your ridiculing a poster for saying he knows someone at the club, but you didn't ridicule someone else who said he knows someone at the club? Wow. I wonder why you picked to ridicule one and not the other? Nothing to do with your agenda...
(And did you ever consider that the reply was so quick because it's a rumour that may have already been dismissed many times, and not because he's just got in touch with them to reply to someone on a message board?!)

I'm not speculating. It would happen (they would go bust). There is plenty of evidence to support this. If they declared this season a right off from the start and that they were going down the year after, they would go bust. They would get very little income (why would fans bother to come?), and their chairman wouldn't be able to prop them up as (as you have stated numerous times) he is hardly rolling in the money at the moment. It would be a terrible, terrible business decision that would kill them off unless someone else stepped in with a shed load of money like at Widnes.

Now, when you've found evidence that Wakefield have been getting Sky money early then you can use that in your argument and it will be credible. But might I add, if other clubs have done it (which I know has happened in the past), it's not really a very good point to make as they aren't exactly being singled out!


Being ambitious isn't saying you don't think you're good enough for that league, we're stepping back. Do you think the fans will "support" them in the wake of this decision? They'd vote with their feet. They'd lose interest. You talk about it being a "wimpish" attitude, but you'd probably do the same if it was your club. Fans are fickle. It's not an attractive proposition. It's not the message you want to send out to your clients, is it?


I don't think they'd make it to next season if they came out and told everyone they're focusing on that option. They have to show that they're doing all they can to keep the fans dreams alive, otherwise they won't support them. That's what spectator sports about to most people.
They should plan for both. You call it wasting resources, but without them ambitions they won't have the same resources to use anyway.

So out of interest who do you think is responsible for all the terrible failings at Wakey that you keep pointing out?
