Can't believe Wire fans are slagging off other teams fans for copying chants etc when they were doing the highly original Poznan at the willows a couple of weeks back.

Also not sure why people are saying Hudds vs Catalans in front of 20000 empty seats would be a good tv game. The two picked were the obvious two although Salford vs Hull KR could've been a decent shout for the Sunday game.

Very suprised Hudds Vs catalans ain't on. Should be on instead on bulls and Wigan.

WT having a decent cup run is hardly what the RFL want though is it. But that debates for another thread.

Why did the RFL feel the need to have a Z list film star and an extra from the Harry Potter films, along with an audience who sounded like a load of children at a panto? It was cringeworthy. Why couldnt they just have 2 officials from the RFL do it?

They've also managed to draw 3 lower league teams in the rounds after that since then (which are usually mainly SL teams). Only 2 out of 6 away from home in the quarters.

Round Four: 5 out of 7 against lower league opposition, 6 out of 7 at home.
Round Five: 3/7 vs LL, 6/7 at home.
Quarter Final: 2/6 vs LL, 4/6 at home.
Semi Final: 1/6 vs LL, 5/6 at Galpharm.

When it comes to the draw, Saints do seem to get lucky far more often than not with home fixtures, and more often than not get a lower league side. They just get sh*t on in the semis by having to always play at the Galpharm against Yorkshire opposition. 6 of the last 8 semis they got to have been at the Galpharm, with the other 2 only not being played there because they were actually playing Huddersfield (at HJ). The other 2 semis in there 10-year semi final run were at JJB against Leeds (who they've played 5 times out of those 10 semi final appearances, as well as meeting on 2 other occasions in the earlier rounds).

Saints are pretty much guaranteed home draws against either lower league opposition or Leeds!

Saints, no defeats in the Challenge Cup before the semi final in over 10 years, joint top of the SL. Think my money is on them

I hope Wigan get more away draws, only lost twice when not at Wigan since Maguire took over. (Bradford in the league & Leeds in the cup, both last season)

You can't win on this board - Wire fans didn't mention the SL play-offs on what is a Challenge Cup draw thread, but we've responded to the trolls. Now you're having a go at the response: as if we cared! Last year we were too busy celebrating our second successive Challenge Cup win ( back on topic again, please note ) to worry what others think about our play-off record!

Of course, I realise that Wire are the only club at all interested in the Cup: to all other teams it's just micky mouse which is why they don't even try to win it.

Winning the Challenge Cup in the last couple of years has helped to soften the blow, so it's okay.

Do Salford fans even exsist? Remind me how many you took away yesterday for a short 1 hour trip, with season ticket holders gaining free entry?

Some of us can remember the days of Wire struggling to bring two coaches for the long trip to the willows. You probably weren't going then. Did you do the Poznan yesterday?
