I'd be quite happy to see Westerman some to Hull. A year learning his craft under Fitzgibbon and then he'll be a ready made replacement. I'd liek to see us sign a promising young scrum half to learn from Long for a year aswell, not sure who would be available though. I really hope Wigan don't opt for Shenton. He will command a healthy wage and although he is a fine player I think Wigan would be best investing in our talents - Darrell Goulding, Ian Thornley & Stefan Marsh - than chucking unhealthy amounts of the salary cap at a player like Michael Shenton. Let him go to Saints.

I would much rather us bolster our pack with someone like Luke Bailey. A mean, aggressive prop forward with all the experience we need to lead our front row to replace Andy Coley.

All the rumoured signings seem to be matching at the moment. It seems Wigan are now back to a position of strength where they can just approach the players Saints are interested in, like Liverpool, Newcastle and Villa do with players Everton go for.
