I would like the RL club coverage to be promoted and covered with at least the same effort as RU club coverage.

Despite more than respectable viewing figures we are still treated like a third tier sport on Sky.

Prime example are the new adverts on sky with the commentary teams doing some thing different. Golf, RU, Cricket and Football got one why not RL.

Personally I like Eddie and Stevo. Carney and barry mac have potential but the others especially phil clarke are replaceable. Rea is a big miss.

Watching the darts on sky and bbc has made me realise we do ok in this area.

Someone else mentioned pre match build up, im not too fussed tbh I'd much rather have some in depth analysis though, im sick of being spoon fed the bleeding obvious

It bugged the hell out of me during the Four-Nations when before the ball had even reached the posts from a conversion, the camera swung to a crouching Barrie/Terry beside the posts.

Absolutely agree with that. It's probably the most pointless thing I've ever seen during live sport on tv. The phoney '3-tier super stadium' in the picture makes me chuckle at the irony though.

Would certainly improve it, he's a prat.

1. Drop the Co-Operative league coverage and buy back the NRL, State of Origin and Australia and New Zealand internationals.

2. Boots n all should report on RL in general inculding the Challenge Cup and not just what they cover.

3. Get rid of Terry and Barrie.

4. Pre-match build up for Saturday games.

Now i'm not the biggest fan of the Championship BUT..
to drop coverage and potential earnings of a British comp for an australian one is ludicrous.
NRL is great but if you want it, go buy it through the correct channels, whether that be ESPN or an online service

Fair point I suppose but showing it on tv seems pointless if Super League still worked on relegation and promotion then I wouldn't object.

The again it could be the World Dwarf Throwing championships or such like that has been scheduled and MUST not be moved on pain of death or even interest

It could if it was , but it is'nt , the Championship coverage is a difficult one to value

Does it help bring more fans into those clubs ?

Does it help to bring more sponsorship into those clubs and the competition ?

Does it show the clubs and the sport in general in a good light ?

Does anybody watch it other than existing RL fans ?

Does it cost clubs money because of the timing of it ?

Would a non live review programme featuring 2 or more games be better ?

All questions that should be looked at and answered , just quoting viewing figures does not answer any of the above

Id just like to see live games shown at different times, not just friday and saturday nights.
Maybe that way i could watch more of them live rather than recorded.

- Don't let a GCSE media studies class produce Boots n All
- Use Brian Carney
- Don't use Terry O'Connor
- Tell Shaun McRae to go and coach Salford
- Don't use the red button show, just carry on the main channel (there's 3 others you know)
- Get more rugby league news and features on Sky Sports News
- Lose the weird futurisic mechanical-looking image protruding from back-to-back houses in Salford or anywhere else for that matter.

For the TV game itself definitely if only for the "I'm on TV" factor. Some may continue but it appears the majority don't


Again for the TV game it does but perhaps not for the entire season. The number of field side advertisements at the Cougars home game against Dewsbury had all gone by the next game.

The game itself is always good , I suppose it's down to the clubs as to how they are shown in a good light. I would suggest that the number of people at the ground is how the TV viewers see the club.

YES! The viewing figures alone must be more than the attendances in the Championship as a whole at any one weekend.

Absolutely, if not only for the fact they have to pay for the floodlights to be switched on/hired which would generally not happen at the weekend. The cost maybe offset by a bigger attendance /beer sales but who really knows

As well as the live game even better.



It answers some but not all, but RL, as you know probably better than most, is extremely reticent to talk about any subject regarding the game and when it comes to finance, clams up tighter than a gnats chuff in a sand storm!!
