I remember drinking with Glynn to the early hours of a New Years day, amazed at how he was due to play against Warrington later that day. I shouldnt have worried. He lasted about 10 mins, sent off for flattening the opposition prop.

Glyn is unusual in that it’s considered he is one of the few ex Wires players to hold 2 heritage numbers.

His official heritage number is actually 848, (not the 757 clue I stated)

And player A N Other was given heritage number 757, for his trialist appearance in August 1974, believed to be Glyn.
