I am that buffoon. And you can claim a fiver. It clearly didn't go under. There is meant to be some photographic evidence of the miss however.

Hicks still had a woeful game. It took his touch judges ti give penalties for us in the first half when he should hace seen the infringements. He also allowed play to go on when we had a man receiving treatment on the floor (Greenwood) within our defensive line.

Could hicks have consulted video ref for DG? Just seen it on look north and they are querying the drop goal on there..The team need to take heart from what Warrington did last night and use this percieved (rightly or wrongly)injustice and next week give Salford both barrels.

Did one team score more than the other? Did some super player miss a tackle and the opponent score or is the real truth that the players were perfect in every way and the match officials are the only ones to blame including those that were not even at the game.

Result is how it is! Regardless of the drop goal. Like when Broughy missed that famous drop goal against Saints I always said we shouldn't of been in that position to start with OR let that decision effect the final minutes.

There seem to be a lot of "conclusive" pictures going round on social media- some clearly fake- the one above is interesting - it doesn't show conclusively whether it was in or out IMO from the still - but it suggests the ball is towards the left of the sticks- go on the official SL website and see the drop goal on the video and the ball looks to go over- but looks towards the RHS not the left....
all sounds like a few people have latched onto a few comment and the Chinese whispers of it didn't go over runs through the rovers fans- some who clearly have no clue whether it did or not, whether it was left of the post, right of the post, under the bar, over the bar or straight through the middle- some were even there and still don't know or don't agree!
Hope the players move on quickly - because feeling aggrieved and moaning about it isn't going to help them win next week. Peacock is out of his depth- he's not cut out for the role he has.

They need to give peacock a ban and put him out of his playing misery. For a senior club official to manhandle the ref is completely unacceptable. If he'd done it on the sidelines when in his best work suit there would have been uproar

The only decision we got our way was the try at the end, otherwise it mostly went your way, the fact that your team couldn't capitalise on that is why you are 80 minutes from going down not the officials!
