So with this decision the RFL have basically said that the licencing system is now scrapped ?????.......after all they have let a club break the rules they set, in which punishment was to have been the revoking of a licence - and their punishment was letting them stay in SL and keeping their licence with nothing more than a 6 point deduction !.

There is it folks......Spend spend spend to become succesful and when you do that and go bust you will be considered an 'iconic club which the game cannot possibly do without' while being literally kept alive by the governing body, in my opinion, forever if no buyer actually came along !!.

Spend spend spend like every other club does? If Davy, Hudgell, etc, decided to leave, then clubs would be in the exact position the Bulls are. Most the clubs in SL are "spending, spending, spending" and are making massive losses, they are just been kept afloat by a rich backer. If that backer decides to go then many other clubs will follow the Bulls. I hope that never happens as i would never wish any other club to go through what the Bulls have this year, and if they did i hope they would be supported by SL/RFL until a buyer was found.

The RFL board arrange a luncheon meeting at The Savoy. They start ploughing through all the paperwork they have amassed on Bradford over the (next) 12 months. This will be no picnic - literally. They will invite KPMG - to analyse the numbers because that's important.

I don'y envy them. That's a job and a half that one . . . .

The moment the SL clubs told the RFL that SL must remain at 14 ( and probably dismissed any of the Championship clubs to replace them ) the Bulls were back in SL, why is there all this mock surprise?

They see if Bradford somehow managed to implode again when they find out that is almost impossible they just wave them through.

The RFL need some new criterion to measure the suitability for a license. Obviously they can't use financial measures because they clearly don't count for diddly squat. I think "iconism" should be a criteria. How iconic is your club? That's Bradford's grade B sorted. Salford. How iconic is Salford?

its difficult to see what on Earth could shame Nigel Wood into doing the decent thing and resigning. I have a great deal of respect for what Scottish football did to Rangers, standing up for principles, despite the massive cost to themselves. I honestly think they'll benefit in the long run versus some fudge to have kept Rangers in the SPL.

But back to our sport....losing Bradford ( to be replaced anyway by a better run club ) would be trivial compared to Rangers and the SPL. Even losing Wigan or Leeds woudn't come close. And yet the clowns in charge still decide to make a mockery of the sport.

Imagine managing the brand of a major company and looking at sponsoring RL. First thing you want to do is meet the CEO to see how the sport is run. You expect a smart, dynamic individual who'll be a great custodian of your brand. Meet Nigel Wood. How the sport tolerates him is totally beyond my understanding.

The Bulls retained their licence quite simply because there was nobody in a position to replace them, so which part of the ' system ' is failing?

SL, ? , well it would seem so with one of its biggest clus in such a financial mess and several others on the brink or shored up by owners investements of millions per season, not forgetting we are talking about a competition where all the clubs recieve 80% of their playing wage bill from SKY

The Championship, ? Having no club anywhere near in a position to replace the Bulls , you would have to question just how are they going to admit one of the clubs into SL in 2 years time

Championship 1 ,? , this is just looking to be a complete joke next season, the damage it could do to the current clubs is frightening, and I dont just mean Oldham and Rochdale,
