A few clubs this season, notably Huddersfield and Cas have consistently played with only 2 or 3 non-British players in their side. That's the way everyone should be aiming to go.

Totally agree. The worst thing is, Hull were going down that route a lot earlier than most in 2006. In the Grand final we had only 4 overseas players. Next year we could potentially have 8 overseas players. It's so short sighted and has rarely led to success for any team.

A reason that we seem to be going down that route is because Agar, doesn't have faith in our youngsters and we have some really good players waiting to make the step up.
Not one of our youngsters has made their debut this season, which is appauling!

If we can't bring in a law stating only so many imports surely we can bring in one stating say 13 players must be uk born and out of those 13 so many say 4 must have come through your academy? Or does this amount to the same?

Hanbury being very versatile may simply be mulling over a few offers on the table and maybe exploring options back in the NRL.

Washbrook is a loose man and Liam Kent is a back rower HTH.

He just can't pass and has a terrible rugby brain, some of the decisions he makes are baffling to say the least.

Be interesting to see if Gentle wants to keep him around, see if he can coach him up a bit.

Jack of all trades master of none, but for me he is as useful and as consistent at half-back as many English or Australian players I've seen play in that position over recent seasons. Can't be too expensive in terms of wages so I imagine he will pick up a deal at the best team with money under the cap and short of numbers in the halves.
