Well I did hear at one point that when they move the North Stand to the South, they will be getting a roof over it as well (a bit like a smaller version of the temp stand at Quins). Also heard they'd be getting red seats this time as well. No idea if any of this is true like, but it would kind of make sense to do this! Can't imagine it would cost too much more money to do that on top of move the stand.

I don't think it's set in stone that the new north stand will hold only home supporters. I guess the club will see how it goes with regards uptake of passes and ticket demand leading up to it's completion as I would guess the majority of current north stand passholders will move to the east stand once that is extended.
Regarding the temp stand; putting a roof on it would massively improve it's functionality and it's appeal. I do think clubs have a responsibility to at least provide away fans with a covered terrace, so a 1200 capacity covered seated stand would be a lot better than what a number of other SL clubs offer at the moment.

| I don't know if this is true but it has been suggested to me that a retractable roof may be fitted so that it can be opened if it rains on derby matches

| Don't think away fans can grumble if put in a temporary stand at the South end as long as it's nearer to the pitch than the existing terrace and if it ends up with a roof on it, though I'm sceptical as to how HKR would currently fill an extended East Stand [iand[/i a new North Stand.

Why didn't we think of that! Saying that no-one brings any fans other than Widnes. At least it would give them a wash eh?

| I don't see a problem for away fans really, at both Leeds and Bradford you get this same problem except you stand up there. Also there is no segregation at Craven Park, the East Stand is more often than not sold out as is the Roger Millward stand. With a few extra thousand seats I am sure away fans can just go in there but would have to pay a little extra (I'd guess?). Just because your club gets sent tickets for one stand doesnt mean you as supporters have to buy those tickets or sit in that area of the ground.

| Building start date has moved again though From November, to end of november, to December. Seriously though I hope it gets started. Bad point is the council will be involved in running it. Wigan Council runs the LSV...not too well by all accounts

I guess thats the next challenge. One things for certain, we'll never fill them if they don't exist.

| Looking good. At lot closer to the pitch than the old stand.
The people who live in the flats behind at that end are going to be disappointed as they won't be able to watch for free anymore!

They have done well painting out the refuge tip at top of those plans along with the planned refuge incinerator. Just to the right you can just about see one sewage works. At the bottom (out of shot) just the other side of what used to be the world biggest navigable sewer there is another sewage works. It smells lovely round there.

| Just out of interest looking at those pictures from France , they seem to build stadia differently to us , they raise up the seats higher to give a better view , whereas we tend to have seats right down to pitch level , the only stands like that over here that I can think of is the one at New Craven Park , and a stand at Ashton Gate , Bristol
