Please wash your hands after playing with it, i've heard Eagle flu is very serious and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

I suppose some people look at crowds down, shareholder schemes and several players being removed hastily from the pay roll etc and see a financially healthy club that can easily thrive and raise capital for a new stadium. I do not.

Didn't they start the season with a few injuries and thus bring players in to cover for the start of the season?

Thus when these injuries clear up they would reduce the playing quota back down to their normal level.

It is, but not one that suits Mardys obsession with Wakefield's (supposed) demise.

Not sure which of the players we are talking about. I can think of no player who might be going for cashflow reasons. There are some players who you could question on a "value for money" basis, and Rooney would fall into that camp. Many fans would also put Peterson and Atkins in the same category. Drew may choose to play elsewhere, and it might be because he can get more money elsewhere, but replacing him with Newton is hardly a sign of a bankrupt club.

The club is a business. Value for money is important. Paying Rooney loads of money to carry the water bottles is hardly value for money, and it makes sense for him to go elsewhere. If you can show me a player who is leaving because the club has financial worries, I'll be interested in the debate.

The one difference which is important inthat comparison is that FW could be here to stay while LF is expected to go back to Wests.

So which is the better signing?

It could well be that we are planning for next season already, a very unusual tactic for us I do agree, but the potential signings for next year suggests that there is money in the pot. If players are not featuring then it makes sense to remove then from the wage bill wouldn't you say? As has already been stated Pitts is the only 1 who has actually left the club and that was his decision as Wakey made him an offer to stay so 1 would assume again that there is money in the pot. As to who signed these 'low grade' players in Rooney's case I can't rememer it was that long ago and Bibb and Pitts came through our academy. These players have fitted into the team in the past but as we improve they are replaced by better players which brings us back to planning for next season.

I am now tempted to throw in a personal insult as that seems the only thing you can reply to.

Murphy in for Petersen in no way weakens the team whatsoever, if anyone takes a look at the tryscoring ratio of both players, then it's actually better for us.
