Toronto, if they buy well (and SBW would be an example of buying well) will have a good shot at the top five. So too will Catalans with James "Jimmy wins" Maloney guiding the team around the park. Neither Salford nor Wakefield should trouble either of those teams.

Yes Salford are losing players but the coach is a huge influence.

Bar coote and Naqaima all the saints players in the final were at the club under cunning ham.

You can see the loss of so many players knocking Salford back a little whilst they take time to settle in, but the coach has done it once so given a couple of years Salford could be competing at the top again.

Love it, McManus and Saints are truly stuck inside your head, but you are not alone.

McManus tenure has seen his boyhood club master 21 trophies/titles in 23 seasons created top Academy and Ladies teams and provided a brand new rugby league purpose built stadium for this century all on a pittance compared to other millionaire club owners........................now that is what you call respect until the cesspit band wagon of social media erodes that perspective

I would also add McManus has been an outstanding corporate citizen for the club/sport having used his business skills to champion and drive forward key initiatives for his town/region across areas such as economy, health and social well being.

My club has achieved plenty thanks, I've not had any axe to grind with Saints until this year, in fact I started to feel sorry for you after the fifth year of you being humbled. Although I'd note that, unlike McManus, our chairman keeps his thoughts to himself and has built a stable rugby league business fit for the future.

I congratulate Saints for winning. But it will take a long time to remove the shadow cast by the behaviour of fans and management after the cup final. Thank God Salford have more dignity in defeat.

Thats true it drew a lot of attention away from the Saints players, bt the end of the week they must have thought they were the underdogs.

Great for Salford though they were the only team who looked like beating our near full strength team convincingly in the Superleague rounds, in fact if they had played a Wigan or Warrington in the Final they most likely would be 2019 Superleague Champions by now.
