Ratchford is a signing that will make sense the year after when Hodgson and possibly Briers will have retired. He is definitely not guaranteed to be in the team next season and will probably have to work as a utility player off the bench.

Depends if Morley is still around. He will be behind him, Cooper, Wood and Carvell in the selection and we also have Solomona and Harrison who can fill in. Hill will spend most time next season in the reserves (note he hasn't played one game of SL before and has to prove his ability) unless Moz retires. Not crazy at all.

From those currently signed there's already an improvement but there's a new coach and around ten more signings to come.

I would doubt that, still average halfbacks IMO, Gale and Sammet are Ok but not the type of halfback a top 6 team should have.

Also who knows how good the 2 centres will be?

Although your pack looks good, when I have watched you this year your pack has been bullied a few times and with no additions whose to say it will be any different.

Hull problem over the last few years has been no halfback and poor coach hopefully we will have a new coach next year. We also have signed 2 halfbacks giving us starting and cover in that position.

If we get a new coach and at least one more decent foward we should challenge the top 4 IMO.

There does seem to be a bit of a common theme in most people's lineups in that everyone wants/expects a new centre to be signed. Highlights the lack of them in SL right now.

Well, it says something we're trying to pin down a centre in the NRL who's played what, 18-19 games for Brisbane? The game as it is played today excludes centres, it's got to the stage where wingers prefer a kick behind the line or a pass for a standoff to a pass from a centre.

Rumour is we've offered Hindmarsh a 3 year deal so it looks likely that we'll be bringing in a new pack member to toughen it up a little bit. From what I've seen of the NRL, both are improvements over Platt and Sykes, so that's a start.

I think we'll do well next year - we've seen glimpses of it this year so more consistency next will be a good start.
