Less than an hour after Tad Rhino posted you have been able to check the veracity of his post with people at the club! Well done.

When SL clubs have failed to pay money owed to other SL clubs the RFL deduct it from Sky allocations and make the payment. Why not ask the many people that you know if Wakey have been subject to these deductions.

Sl clubs in financial bother have been known to ask for an advance of some sky money (the RFL/SLE then make the advance available to all clubs) Why not ask the many people that you know if Wakey have made any such requests.

When players leave a club at the end of a contract there are often a few outstanding payments. Why not ask the many people that you know if Wakey have been tardy in making such payments.

I feel sure they will tell you everything is hunky dory. Given that you 'have the contacts on speed dial' it would be excellent to get their feedback.

Has Tadrhino posted any evidence other than ' somebody i know ' ?

I thought it was already well documented that in the past few months Wakey staff have been paid late? Union had to step in to sort players so not to unrealistic to think staff had to wait a bit longer?

merlin was able to 'falsify' tad's claim in under an hour and has alledgedly many contacts at the club, some able to comment on staff payments. So I asked merlin a few reasonable questions. He / she will probably choose not to answer. We will see.

The only thing linked between Ted's IVA and WTW is that he is Chairman of the club, his debt to the bank or whoever and I'm sure you will tell me has nothing to do with WTW as well you know, but it fits in with your agenda on here to relate it to rugby matters and once again try and put the club in a bad light. Sadly I think the short term tactics will lead to the wakey BOD submitting a licence bid that is likely to fail. That way they can try and blame the RFL rather than accept responsibility.

TBF though didn't Ted personally secure the Wildcats future in their last SL bid? Promising to fully back the club should they need any finacial assitance as like most clubs make a loss? Clearly in an IVA he is not in a posistion to do that and that is what the RFL are looking into. Would it be better / worse or make any difference to the operation should the RFL tell him he has to relinquish his control?

Do Wakey have anyone contracted past the end of this season, and if so do their contracts become null and void when they drop into the championship or do they have to honour them and bankrupt the already financially ambiguous club.

They will become null & void. I believe it's a rule the RFL brought in one for the reason you put at the end and two so they don't have to pay any sort of paachute payments to a relegated side that would then see the Championship quite uncompetitive to an extent.

Plus they'd have all their money tied up into a few players and the rest would have to be very average players to stay under the meagre championship cap.

The null and void does make it difficult to recruit good quality players if people think a club is for the drop. If you are a decent player why sign a 3 year deal when the contract may be void in a year? It means clubs facing the drop often pay over the odds for players as this is the only way to get them. The result is the recruitment of journeymen on their last legs, mediocre players and kids who come cheap.

If a club recruiting those sorts of players does get a licence green light they have a few months to try and recruit many players from what is left - especially as a promoted side will have had extra time to shop around for players.

I doubt either has access to all the facts , so I have no wish to trouble tadrhino , as for a comment on the o/p then yes Wakey are in trouble , then again no need to be a rocket surgeon to realise that

I would imagine what you say is true but tbh I have no idea unlike our in the know friend from marsden. Ted's IVA has nothing to do with the club directly its his personal problem but under RFL rules because he is the chairman he will have to stand down, we know this but jessie james thinks differently and takes your explanation out of context to suit her own agenda, atm he is trying to address the situation and the club is currently up for sale but not suprisingly there is not a lot of interest. At this moment in time the only person who has any credible knowledge of what is going on is Miss Wakefield Trinity Wildcat herself the honourable jessie james or whatever she is calling herself for the time being.
Unfortunately because she has a personal vendetta and history against us she just twists things round when it suits.

We can agree that the RFL have rules re the ownership of clubs and that owners in IVAs is considered a serious problem. With licence applications the RFL take a close look at board members - hereto IVAs are relevant. A chairman in an IVA will certainly weaken a club's chances. So when I first raised the issue of SL chairman in an IVA (only Ted atm) it was relevant.

Ted being in an IVA plus the winding up orders, no home ground etc are very poor re a bid. Going down with dignity to C1 in a small ground with a hard core of, say, 1500-2000 supporters could help the club to become stable and then if Newmarket gets a green light there could possibly be a SL bid in 2014. Will the bod have the strength of character to make such a decision?
