france has history, clubs, juniors. it seriously is a sleeping giant.

toulose has a pop. over 1 million, lots of companies in the area for sponsorship

apparently toulose business plan was stronger than what Les Cats put in when they were accepted.

toulose were left out apprently to give Les Cats more time to bed down.

when RL kicks off again in france the ESL will reap a massive benefit via stronger test matches and a strong French TV rights deal.

we get 10 million a year or so off Sky NZ for the Warriors.

Now, whilst you might find this hard to comprehend, there were no franchise points awarded for away fans. We lost 2 possible points for home fans and I agree that our crowds are p155 poor at the stoop, but we did tick most of the other boxes. We also have 2 home grown Cockney England RL internationals. Given LMS and Clubby were about 9yrs old when SL started, I think this points to us bringing something to the game!

Oh, away games for us are a minimum 400 mile round trip, usually on a Friday evening and not a bus ride where you can use your job seekers allowance bus pass to get there!

Dont get me wrong i understand the travel but why did the rfl feel the need to bring in these clubs when they knew what was going to happen?

Widnes should have got in before celtic they offer far more to the game than what celtic do now they want pulling out the **** it was on the cards from day 1

I believe that Widnes are bolted on next time and before if the Taffs go tits up. As for London...regardless of anyone's opinion, we are in SL, have never finished in a relegation place, made 2 play-offs and a CC Final since the modern era started. Yes, we had the additional quota (19 I think

) but we now field a british team with home grown talent.
I understand the bitterness felt by some and I do feel for the fans who have followed their clubs for years....but let's face it, with out SKY there would be no pro game and without London, there'd be no SKY TV deal.

If you are pointing out that the RFL deliver £1,000,000,000,000 a year to TW2 and also shower us with gifts of Gold bars you are incorrect in your assumption. We receive no more or no less than the other 13 teams in SuperLeague (Europe) Limited.

We will be celebrating 30 years next year and as I point out to many of your fellow flat earth anti-expansionist pals, we lost 2 points on the licence application because of our terrible crowds.......but we still scored enough points to be awarded a 3 year licence.

It's brought us Super League Europe...as opposed to the Stones Bitter Championship. Which the clubs and most fans see as an improvement if only due to the full time professionalism of the participants.
