Half of the Saints teams near enough come through our academy that helps to challenge year after year after year.

And you didnt fall when Cunningham was your coach,Oh 26 yrs is only Superleague not Rugby league.
Wigans academy has been far better than Stains for years now.

How about you can keep winning academy grand finals and our academy will keep producing players who win the grand final with you consoling yourself “but we have a better academy” (so basically, I am more than happy to keep the status quo!)

Oh and

a) the Cunningham years brought us to the lowly point of 5th (a position we have never finished lower than in SL) and semi final rugby. I am sure plenty of teams would call that a satisfactory season.
b) 26 years (aka a quarter of a century) may not be when RL started but it’s rapidly becoming “living memory”. I was born in the 90s, started watching RL with my dad and Granddad in 96, it’s all I’ve ever known. I’m by no means the youngest any more, and the cohort of fans who remember the great Wigan dominance are no longer the majority. But keep consoling yourself with things that happened before I was born.

It is irrelevant when you was born as Rugby League was born over 150 years ago a bit more than 26 years (aka,a tad more than a quarter of a century)

I also would like to point out I love watching Wigan play Stains even if we lose,love the atmosphere etc.
Why your fans want to attack every other team so much I dont know,without the other teams you wouldnt be the champions you are.

We did that in 2013, 2016 and 2018. Leeds did it from 2004-2015 These things work in cycles. Holbrook and Woolf changed you for the good as Maguire/Wane did with us.

If you get the overseas signings wrong and the coach wrong then it doesn't matter how good your academy is TBH you won't win anything. (see Warrington)

Saints are getting it right at the moment (pretty much spot on TBH) anjd hopefully with the new appointments Wigan will start to do so again. The sport needs the big 3 clubs to be challenging one another.

Maquire and Wane brought in a long period of Thugby, the Goon team has really struggled to have any creative rugby since, Peet might be able to re mould the team that Lam couldn’t transition.

The three peat champions once again showed how far the gulf in class is between them and the rest of super league.

Despite being decimated by injuries they mullered Leeds and their 50 supporters with ease

Lebron clearly wasn’t born when Leeds did it first (in SL era) regarding “three peat”.

Interest in super league and rl in general = fast approaching zero.

I've run out of words to describe how poor and predictable the competition is. We already know saints will win the grand final beating a poor team that has no business being there. I'll not waste my time watching. Oh yeah, and Australia will win the world cup. Shock horror.

The gulf in class is just massive. St Helens havent been able to field their first choice 13 all season. They have always had at least 3 of their first choice 13 missing each game and are still winning super league with ease.

St Helens should look to join the NRL as SL is just pointless

Yet a team that not one of them would get in your team knocked you out of the cup

They’d be top 2 in the NRL, easily.

OF course 1st team would be top,second team would be second,stands to reason

Having a larger salary cap means they could sign manu to replace Hurrell and Haas to strengthen the front row and then yes, top 3
