And right on cue, here is the number one numpty.
In that one statement you have just shown yourself for what you are - a know nothing arrogant child.
If you think that the british isles cannot provide good local produce then you must live a very isolated life.

tbh there's plenty in aus that don't seem to give a rat's ass either. I was over in Melbourne when the storm were reigning NRL champions, and the average Melbourner (if that's the rite term) didn't seem to either know or care they had an NRL team.
So it's not glorious living and breathing RL everywhere in the land of the corked hat.

On the other side living in Sydney was fantastic being a rugby league fan.
Went to Melbourne whilst travelling around and I'd take Sydney every day of the week.

Oh Melbourne was a great city, just I was expecting a big buzz about RL and was surprised and disappointed to find it wasn't there.
Luckily some of my work mates were from Brisbane and actually knew what a sport was.

| Melbourne people are ignorant though. They think their bland little city is half decent....idiots!
Then again they did just build a 30,000 all seat stadium for this Rugby League team they dont care about.
They also had 20,000 turn up for this team they dont care about while, at the same time, a big AFL final was being played over the road.
So yeah, sometimes, it gets really bad for Rugby League in gods greatest country! ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

Don't get me wrong, Melbourne was great, but Sydney was better in my opinion. Maybe I'm biased as I lived there for a year but it still feels like my second home six years later.
I'd been warned by two Aussie lads pre-trip that Melbourne was all Aussie rules and Sydney, Brisbane mainly rugby league. The Anzac day test in Sydney was a fantastic day out.
Went to an Aussie rules game in Adelaide and was on the edge of a coma.
Horses for course though I suppose.

Think what you like but lets be completely serious for a minute.
How can a country so geographically close to gourmet experts like France and Italy sustain itself with a national cuisine of such utter, utter garbage???
Lets have a look at Englands 'signature' dish. It's the eloquently named 'Full English'
1.Fatty bacon.
2.Egg fried in grease.
3.Baked beans in tomato sauce.
4.A slice of bread fried in oil.
5.Mushrooms boiled in butter.
6. Black pudding (pigs blood and congealed fat in a sausage shape) FRIED in yet more grease
7 Sausage (A mix of pig guts, rusk and gluten stuffed into an artificial skin....and then fried. In yet more grease)
Other tasty pommie foods include Devilled Kidneys, Kippers (traditionally eaten for BREKKY) and a small piece of Cod, coated in a large piece of batter, FRIED yet again and traditionally served in an old copy of the Daily Star with heaps of soggy chips covered in vinegar and salt.
Its little wonder that the rest of the world bags out pommie food ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)
