well then if he cant handle ref's not seeing every misdemeanour in every game then maybe he ought to be a golf coach because he's probably in the wrong job - i'm sure every coach ,player and fan gets frustrated and feels like 'blowing out' over it .

I dont recall any remarks Nathan Brown has made againt the refs in our 2 losses so far, he just tends to get on with it unlike some whiny ass coaches

Give him a little longer in SL having to suffer at the hands or whistles of some referees and he may change his tune ...........

no ,i get annoyed when ref's dont give every decision but ATEOTD its human nature - if it wasnt the ref it would have been oiur tactics!!

every coach probably sees forward passes etc go unpunished every game but dont abuse the referee for it - they just get in with it knowing it will probably happen again next game

I could understand it if the score was close and a bad call hinged on the winning try but to get done by 22 and still call the ref is a bit sad really.

Yes I was at the game. I regularly comment on the cries of FORWARD from the East Stand these days. It's becoming embarrasing. Never heard it prior to 2006, I wonder why?

Actually no, when talking to a gentleman from Huddersfield in the HP bar after the match - I commented on the quality of Huddersfield's play and more especially your full back who ran the show for you today - you would have won, in my humble opinion, without the assistance of Mr Thaler, you were the better team on the day - after all any team who is able to get away with bending the rules to get field advantage is going to do it - Mr Thaler let you - you won ........

Its sound more to do with Morgan not trusting the correct channels of complaint TBH. He seems to have an issue with thaler full stop.

Dont let it detract from what the Giants are doing this season. A great coach and quality squad which will hopefully ANNOY alot more teams during the season.

but 28 of our points probably came from bad ref's calls - Morgan is just peesed that his world beating superstar have been hammered at home by a team thats not even worthy of been on the same planet as his all conquering rovers

Sounds totally unprofessional to me:

"I am going to teach my side this week to throw forward passes, stand offside all day and tackle round the head because every time we get him, we get the raw end of the stick. He needs to spend some time learning the rules and getting in a position where he can understand the game better. It is absolutely disgraceful every time we get him. I've seen the tries mate, Wilds is the only borderline one, im presuming there on about passes in general play and the flat ones we (and the rest of SL) do from dummy half

Was not the reason they went professional to ensure a professional approach to the refereeing and application of the rules of the beautiful game??

And moving away from the referee ....... I was rather concerned about the inability of the linesmen to keep up with the run of play which may well have contributed to their inability to liaise with Mr Thaler on the question of any forward passes he may not have seen ... surely their level of fitness has to enable them to keep up with the play throughout the whole 80 minutes??

IMHO yes they will have done - of course they will - the sheer pace of the game deems that there will always be forward passes coupled with player error wrong place - wrong time - but as I have already said in this thread and others on the forum - Huddersfield deserved the win - I am not trying to take that away from you in any way, shape or form - I am justifying the comments made by our coach - on the grounds that this is a professional referee - being paid professional fees along with his linesmen to at least give a semblance of his professionalism - or maybe the Easter programme is also too much for the referees
