I heard they're having to use a 3rd lip reader. Nigel Wood sacked the first because he thought he wasn't listening to him on the phone, and the second couldn't tell what was said from the 1 syllable that was viewable.

The RFL is going to have to be quick. Leeds will be at full strength for the opening play off match....

And another non Leeds fan who has seen an inconclusive video and convinced themselves of Hardaker's guilt. That is Zak Hardaker, who has not been charged with ANY offence, never mind being found guilty. Why is it wrong that Leeds fans are backing him until the RFL actually charge him with anything??

Another Leeds fans who thinks it's an anti Leeds agenda! For me though, the fact that Hardaker has been banned for it previously doesn't help him in the slightest. It's a bit like Gareth Hock's disciplinary record, taking into account his previous misdemeanours.

It wouldn't help him, you are correct, had he actually done something again. The fact he hasn't is the issue why Leeds fans think it's an anti Leeds agenda.

Nothing could be further from the truth; if you care to read back, I have expressed no view on his guilt or otherwise, just cautioned against falling into line with the club's ill-advised rantings about witch-hunts and the like, which is clearly nonsense and an attempt to influence the process.

I can understand an investigation takes time. Unlike the Leeds lot, I understand that just because you may have an investigation and a lip reader maybe commissioned that does not result in an answer the next day.

You need to send off all the evidence or have the lip reader come in. Then time to review.

But I would have expected something a little sooner than this. Having said that how many weeks did the Long investigation into betting take. There were some weeks in-between on that case too and no one was shouting conspiracy.

Maybe they will just leave it until the Play Offs are done. Might not take very long for Leeds as they will have to win at Wigan or Warrington to get to Old Trafford won't they?

Saints lose this weekend then they'll be the highest ranked losers and Leeds will face them in week 2. Imagine the scene, Saints leading by 2 points with less than 60 secs to play and Hardaker pops up with the winning try. A few weeks later the RFL find him guilty and ban him......wonder if Saints fans will be glad the RFL took their time then scouring over the hundreds of pieces of evidence.

. As we speak they have specialists from hollywood prepping the faked video evidence and the top top person from interpol for the lip sync interpretation so the foul mouthed one gets an absolute shower of s'hit landed on his head..

OR, as is reasonably likely, the RFL will come out with ' we've diligently assessed all the facts and have taken time to ensure that the correct decision is taken giving due consideration to the player, the game as a whole & the law and have no conclusive evidence to show that ZH said anything homophobic. We have however warned the player for foul & abusive language and we will carry on to ensure the sport is as family friendly as it's always been'..yadda yadda..

If that paragraph sums up the RFL findings then it should have been done and dusted last week.

How much 'evidence' are they really looking at: ref's report, interview the nearest players, Hardaker himself, any video/audio evidence. They haven't even talked to Hardaker yet almost two weeks after the event.

It's fascinating how the RFL spends all year round being slating for not being able to do things properly and generally being useless and making a mess of things.

Yet those who either think Hardaker is guilty (or would like him to be) are trying to portray a picture of the RFL as some efficient, well run, thoughtful and all around quality organisation who'll do a fine good of investigating this.

Reality probably is that after Leeds questioned there actions they were hopeful that the case would die down quite a bit after a few weeks before quietly announcing a no charge verdict. Hardaker bringing it back up again in the last 24 hours might force them to eventually do something in the next 48 hours though.

This isn't some complex murder trial or phone hacking scandal which requires plenty of evidence and time to build a case. It's simple, either the ref heard him say it or not.....it's as straightforward as that.
