There looked to be more than that on sky ( 400/500 ) its still an awful following but when you look at how poor we have been lately and a lot of fans boycotted it because they are all p!ssed off with the board turning this once great club into a shambles and it was on sky and it clashed with Hull City v Liverpool.

Not that funny ? Well it was considering it was Gardner that dropped the ball.

If it was actually at the game at Wakey this year, I will have had no idea. I was a booze infused write-off. My only recollection is the silence from the video to the end of the minute silence.

One of the worst grounds in the league. The other side of the country. Poor standard of opposition (not that Hull are a good standard, but Salford are 2nd to bottom for a reason). Worst form in the SL (Celtic apart). And on Sky. All major contributers.
Basically, we were playing a poor team with a poor team that has lost 6 on the bounce playing boring dull and uninspiring rugby in a crap setting at the other side of the country. Why would anyone want to take 6-7 hours out of their day to watch that when they could just watch it on tele?
It was a very poor turnout, no question (especially by Hull's standards), but totally understandable. I couldn't make the game anyway due to other commitments, but had I been able to I'm not sure if I'd have bothered for this one anyway. Managed to catch it on tele, and despite the win, it was still a crap game IMO.

Whose money? You realise that when you give your money to somebody else, it isn't yours?
How much money have the Catalans or Crusaders received from the RFL?
Which clubs have the RFL "let go to the wall"? Why is it the role of the RFL to "bail out" poorly run clubs?
Why am I even bothering?

Why is it your money?
And how do the fans manage in football when they got back and forth to the NE, NW, London, South Coast, Europe, etc.?
Get over it. You don't have to go to every game and the RFL isn't forcing you to go to every game. They are trying to expand their market, not get them to travel further. If you want to go, go. If you can't, don't. Hopefully there will be someone at the other side who can take your place at games you can't get to, and vice-versa, hence the expanded market.

Erm thats exactly my point. As soon as any of the so called big clubs suffer a drop off in form the fans go walkabout. The poor setting hasn't stop Hull travelling in numbers before (when they've been winning).
The only notable exception to this is Wigan who still seem to travel in decent numbers despite their average performances.

| We fininshed 11th and averaged over 13,000, Saints finished 1st and averaged 10,000ish ?
Ok our away support may be dwindling some what, considering how much it is these days for a family to travel to them add to that the fact your teams form is poor and the game is also on sky.
We need to be worried more about the home supporters of clubs like Salford, Celtic, Quins and Wakefield.

Hull have fantastic support. As do Saints, Wigan and Leeds. Dont be sucked in by brain dead fans,
St Helens have averaged around 10k for years. It wont increase till we get our stadium.

Er... isn't that the same for pretty much any club who has a shocking run of form? The difference between the big clubs' and the small clubs' numbers of travelling fans is when the big clubs have a drop in form, their travelling support is still often bigger than that of the smaller clubs'. How many have Salford brought to Hull when they're playing well? Not very many.

| Maybe these small clubs should worry about increasing their own support base rather than relying on 1000's of away fans pouring money into their coffers every other week.
Hull and hull kr receive the lowest level of away support (Hull derbies apart) of any club I would have thought as many people use the trip to london or S France as a weekend away, and Hull is a fair trek for many away fans. I think the biggest ever non derby visiting support at the KC was only around 2k by Bradford a few years ago when the attendance almost reached 20k. If Hull had the same number of visiting supporters as wigan or leeds then we'd average 15k plus
