| Why would an investor be interested in putting money into a club if said club is going to be dropped out of the league?
If that was to happen, why not wait until the club is liquidated, pick up the pieces for next to nothing and start again.

| It makes this joke post I made a couple of years ago seem rather prophetic!
Quote In a shock move today, Bradford bulls have been bought by Asian food mogul Mr. Ram Jam Buttyman who has not only pledged to take the club into a new era of success, but to bridge links with the local community.
Mr Buttyman has revealed plans to build a super mosque which will totally enclose a 25,000 capacity all kneeling stadium. The soon to be renamed bulls will ground share with a local Kabaddi team and Mr Buttyman expects dual registration between some of the players. He commented that the Bulls appear experts at avoiding physical contact so they should make great Kabaddi players.
He revealed a revolutionary all new black latex one piece Burka as his home kit, and expects brisk replica sales in the city centre. The away kit is yet to be revealed but is thought to be equally forward thinking.
He commented that the new kit gave him the idea for the new team name – The Bradford Burks which he thought sounded rather catchy. He was also very pleased that coach Macca was changing his name to Mecca as a show of support. The coach commented “we can take a lot of positives out of this”.
PS this is just a bit of fun – absolutely no racial puns intended. I tried Bradford Kilts, ponchos and togas but they didn’t have the same ring about them.'"

Can we all get the RFL to pay are wages for the next month aswell - absolute joke this is

Hello? McFly?
It's our not are. But your lack of grasp of grammar aside, and I'm going to put this in nice big letters for you to make it easy to read; [size=200The RFL are NOT paying Bradford's wages for the next month. Bradford have asked for an advance on the Sky monies owed to all clubs and they are NOT alone in doing this. Several clubs have also done this both this season and in previous seasons[/size

Isnt there a fundamental difference in that with Wakefield we were on the verge of having the licences re-evaluated anyway, and it would quite clearly have been wrong to pre-judge that process.
Whereas Bradford are asking to fulfil the existing licence, and be judged in three years with everyone else. Hence the mention of SL clubs voting to keep them in.

| As for wanting to buy back the lease to Odsal, it seems funny that the people criticising the RFL for buying it are the same people criticising the Bulls for wanting to buy it back. They are ridiculous.
Its funny to see how certain factions are trying to use Bradfords plight
The RFL paying them the sky monies due becomes the RFL paying Bradfords players wages.
The owners asking for guarantees they wont be immediately relegated becomes the RFL guaranteeing Bradford a new licence
The owners asking to buy the lease for Odsal back becomes the RFL giving them it back for free

But if their continued tenure in SL is decided by a vote of the other SL clubs, how can the RFL give that assurance?
It's different but similar - giving them the nod is an admission that the democratic process that exists to make the decision is a sham, just as giving Steve Parkin the nod that WTW would be granted a new licence would reveal the lie of the application process.

Well, I'd imagine that the RFL would hold a meeting with the other SL clubs and they'd vote. In much the same manner they did for London a few years back.

Point of order....
A couple is 2
A few is 3 or maybe 4 at a stretch
7 years is neither....but I get your drift
Bradford will be playing in SL next year.......move along, nothing to see here.

Was it really 7 years ago? Doesn't time fly? Or it might just been the 4 years of dross under McNamara that has all kind of merged into one horrible blob in my memory.
I do hope that's a prophetic statement at the end though

| The basis of the licence was to make super league stronger, wakefield, celtic crusaders and now bradford have made super league a laughing stock around the world. The RFL need to take a grip of the situation. I am not sure how? A president has already been set Do what you want, spend money you don’t have screw people out of their hard earned income avoid paying Players and taxes and we will still give you a licence. If bradford get thrown out (demoted) can they take it to court as the RFL let wakefield in after they miss managed their business and still got a licence?
I say demote them. they had their chance and blew it. I said the same about the other clubs to.
Before you have a go at me, look at yourselves. How many of you cheer when a benefit cheat get thrown in jail or have to pay all the money they swindled and more. I would say all of you they take you’re hard earned money. Bradford and I know it’s not just them, it is them that are being scrutinised right now, and they owe the tax man. I don’t feel they should get away with it. I wouldn't. I am sorry for the supporters. But they should take the medicine and re start at the bottom. It may take a while but they will be back and stronger.

| Does make the scrutiny of licenses a farce when 2 of the chosen clubs have financially collapsed. Can the RFL ask for a refund from the private auditing company they used?

| So in a nutshell - Akhbars want to buy bradford and pay off all their debts, but only with the assurance that the RFL will guarantee the Bulls a SL license for the next 2 years?!
the RFL will now retreat to the redhall base and flip a coin (or however they tend to make these important decisions!) - i suggest a heavily weighted black, red & amber coin at that.
Not only that but the RFL will pay Bradfords way with wages until the next deadline (which should not have been extended in the 1st place!)
The whole system is a complete shamables and i dont even think that the RFL have a rule book written for such situations - which is why nobody in the whole of the RL community knows what the hell is really going on!
This situtation has brought our game into the national eye in newspapers and online sites, and all it has done is tarnish the great sport that is RL!
how are clubs supposed to convince big sponsors to come on board with RL when the governing body doesnt know its @rse from its tit!
this goes way back and is emmbarrasing!
i dont think that the bulls are out of the water just yet, and if they do go into liquidation they should follow the route of the welchies and be dropped to champ 1, regardless of 'fan base'
...... i was feeling a touch sorry for you Bulls lot, but after the special treatment that the RFL are now clearly giving you, im not!
would the RFL jump in like this to aid Salford, Wakey, Cas, Hull KR, Hudds, or any of their other members in the Championship/1?!! course not!
if the Asians dont front up the cash you should have to start again from the bottom. and i cant bloody wait!
and an afterthought for you all - if the bulls go into liquidation thus writing off all their existing debts (many £'s owed to HMRC) this money used to fund the NHS. How many nurses will have to be cut next time around?! i understand this is a simplistic way of looking at it, but in essence the money that will not get paid out by the Bulls would have been used to fund doctors, nurses, police, firefighters etc.......
.....and many say - carry on Bradford, just because they have won the SL in the last ten years and have afew 'fans'
to anyone that thinks Bradford should continue in SL even after liquidation.....
....get a grip & grow some morals!
