This is the worst display of biased refereeing in an International game that I can recall. He isn't even trying to pretend any more.

Decent wingers such as Clubb come in field and actively look for the ball. I honestly haven't seen Briscoe put his hand up all that often - would be interested to see the number of carries he has made by full time. Goulding gets involved at least.

But the reason they were in that position was due to our own poor play by running into touch. We have to improve in the areas we can control. We have to be good enough to overcome a few poor calls in a game.. it happens.

Unfortunately if you wear the jersey you have to perform to international standard (not the only one). Any issues on age or position that's the coaches fault / call.

I noticed that Stuart Cummings has had no input whatsoever with the refereeing. Probably because last year his input involved Leon Williamson refereeing Australia v England and that's when the convicts started crying and complaining.

This year, no crying or complaining because of course all the refs for the big games are AUstralian and all the video refs for the big game are Australian.

The whole thing stinks of corruption.

Briscoe comes inside and looks for the ball all the time at club level. He seems a bit more reluctant when playing for England but is still making carries and would have put Cudjoe clear if not for a dodgy forward pass ruling. I'd like to see him go looking for the ball more but maybe he's been told not to come inside by the coach?

Part of the reason why Goulding is getting more involved is because he's seeing more traffic.

To pose a question when the rain pours down and I include SL in this we just expect a few errors and handling / going into touch mistakes. Yet why do the Aussies not seem to have all the extra errors (maybe 1/2)?

No wonder kids would rather play rugby than rugby league. You at least have something to aim for on the international scene.

James Graham should have led the team off the pitch. We have to make a stand against such biased officiating for the good of the game.

Yup, no doubt it's McNamara's fault and there is no way it could be possibly down to Briscoe.

The point i'm making is he is making his debut against the Aussies in Aus and people are slating him already for not performing - if he is given time , like the other younger players out there , he may perform but surely with this squad its all about keeping them together and letting them learn together like the Kiwi's did and look where they ended up 2 or 3 years later !!
